Question about LG WM-2277HW Front Load Washer
I heard also that if you were to put a bit of baking soda in the soap dispenser for the powder detergent, and replace the blue tub for the liquid that it will freshen the machine. No more bad smells

Also open the door after each use to air it out its just as same as a shower to avoid mold and etc like the smell just air it out after each use

I don't know anything about a lawsuit with LG but the proper solution to this is to have a qualified LG tech disassemble the washer drum and tub assembly and wash it down with a garden hose. Once it is cleaned out, the smell is gone. To avoid the smell from returning, do not put more than 2 tablespoons of detergent per wash. The reason is that the washer can produce excessive sudsing and line it throughout the tub. The front load washer cannot rinse this excess suds off by itself and will in time, cause that nasty odor again.
