If you can disassemble the unit and remove the PCB...great. Simply place the board in an oven for about an hour at 100deg C. Be careful of the LCD.....if this is wet through there will be no way to recover it. Now if you cannot disassemble it place the unit in a hot press for at least a week. You could also try drying it ou using a hair dryer.

Dropped lg cookie in the bath 2 months ago turns on but all i get is a blank screen and cant put my pin in

It has a little red ot on the battery that shows them if it fell in the water. They all have their own policys concerning this, don't be shocked it they try to hit you for some cash to rectify this. It's the first thing they look at. Even on the phone, they will ask you to remove the plate and tell them what color it is, the only way yo may get around this is if you tell them whatthey want to hear, because the phone is going to be shipped someware else, "not to the guy you are talking to on the phone" and by then it's out of your hands and you got a replacement, just don't tell them I told you that. But first find out what color that little thingy is supposed to be before getting wet. Water is their out unless you have theft on your policy. Then just report it stolen, I normally don't give this kind of info to clients, but phone companys are like nasty greedy overpriced dudes, good luck'

Sony Erricsson P1i fell in bath, quickly removed battery, sim, dried by putting it and the battery in a rice bowl. Now wont power up? It does not look like there is any water in it. I removed most of the...

ok, first remove the battery cover and battery and sim leave them in a warm room for 6hours or overnight.

Putting it back together and try it.if it still doesn`t work, try a battery change at your local dealer.

By the way a phone that hasn`t been charged for a while may not show any signs of working until maybe 30 mins.

Help me experts plz...!My phone isn't working

It is already too late. The reason that it is heating up is that there is still water niside the cicuits and it has shorted them. Everytime you turn the phone on, you are damaging it even more. That phone needs to parted completely and put into a chemical cleaner ultra sonic bath. Hopefult it will be saved. But never 100%.

Motorola - E6 Smart Phone fell in water for 2-3 seconds.

First of all, do not turn it on. Take out the battery, and completely dry the phone before trying to use again.
Here is the procedure to take out all moisture trapped in the phone: Dry the phone, battery, any accessory, etc. with cloth and wrap each piece, phone and accessories, in newspaper. Place a few handfuls of rice into a plastic bag and then place the wrapped phone in the bag with rice. The newspaper wrapping avoids direct contact of rice with your phone because the dust from the rice can get into the small areas of the phone. The newspaper and rice will absorb moisture. Leave it there (with the bag open) at least 24 hrs.

Water damage in nokia n95

Hey, Matthew here, First thing you should have done is to take out the battary. Leave the phone to dry for 2-3 days. If this still does not work you can get some "dipping alcohol". Still with out the battery dip it into it for about 15-20seconds and leave to dry for about a day- this should work if you took out the bat but might still work even if you didn't. Hope this helps. Matt. PS you can get the alcohol in a harware store or the likes:) Please rate me

Dropped my sonny ericsson W800I in the bath

A basic equation is : Water + Phone = Dead Phone Warm water and a phone is really bad news, the level of corrosion inside the phone after a warm bath is significant. You could try to disassemble the phone and clean it on the inside, but you should not get your hopes up. In many cases, repairing the phone (after water damage) is much more expensive than getting a brand new one.
