Question about Bradley BTST02 - Stainless Steel Smoker

1 Answer

Biscuit advance I have had my Bradley BTST02 for about 2 years. It has worked fine until now ... but today the mechanism that advances the wood biscuits is doing it continuously ... not just every 20 minutes or so. Is thewre something I can do myself to correct this ? If not can you tell me where I can get it repaired in Toronto, Ontario, Canada ? Thanks, in advance, for your help ... Charlie Macfarlane ...

Contact the company to see if the timer unit can be purchsed to replace yourself or if the whole drive has to be replaced. not sure if its battery operated, but if it is , to make do for now you can start everything up , pop out the battery and pop it back in as you need to.....lot of work but you'll be smokin' at least.........

Wood chips won't advance

You said, "wood chips won't advance." That may be the problem, the Bradley Smoker doesn't use wood chips. It uses a manufactured wood chip biscuit, that looks like a small hockey puck. These will feed automatically when the smoker calls for them. Loose wood chips won't.

My bradley smoker has no power going to the light or heat element in the smoke tower.all wires and fuse look good. could it be the heat element or rheostat switch?

With power off remove bottom plate check heat element for continuity.Rheostat is mounted on controll board sometimes meat juices flow out door and into controll board shorting it out like mine.Saw web site where someone used pid controll in place of rehostat control board.

Why can't we get smoke out of the Mastercraft smoker. We have tried it at 120 no smoke, 130 degrees it smoked for a bit. we have opened up the vents half way & changed to smaller chips. Now what (the...

On Master Craft Smokers, you need to put the wood chip in when you first turn it on. The heating element will be on trying to bring up the temperature and will start burning the wood. Also open the vents all the way to get the element to turn on more often. 130degrees is very low for smoking anything. Most meat needs to be 170 on the inside to be considered done. Try cranking the temp at the beginning and turning it down after that. After the first couple hours the meat should be considered smoked, then it just needs to cook.

Problem with gas getting to the front burner

Follow manufacturer's recommendation in resetting the excess flow safety device....(Turn burners and LP cylinder off...Disconnect regulator on cylinder. Turn both knobs to high for at least one minute...Then turn them to off...reconnect the regulator to the LP tank...Turn LP valve VERY slowly (30 seconds) until fully opened..then start the grill in the usual manner. ALWAYS TURN THE LP TANK OFF WHEN DONE USING THE GRILL....

Bradley smoker that shuts off for no reason

Yes I have an answer, Rather than whining to the world, why don't you just ask the Bradley company--don't you think they would know? I know first hand they can help and they do care a bunch about their customers. Odds are you have not programmed it correctly or have it plugged in incorrectly (wires switched).
