I have not heard of a plasma panel ever cracking on there own. Are you sure something did not hit the front of the display panel, or unit was dropped without you knowing?

my hlp4663 power comes on but no picture but has sound but only on the channel it was on last. Can't manually change volume or channel and don't have remote. When pushing on the power button the audio comes on no picture it will last 10 seconds and audio goes off and the lamp light and timer light are red, then it kicks back on audio only for 3 more times then shuts off. At this same time a loud noise from the back like the fan motor is working overtime. I have read on line all the repairs for the lamp and the ballast and the color wheel, i am not sure if these are the problems or is it the main board. Would appreciate any help before purchasing the wrong part to fix the problem.

Soooo... My LG 42 MU-42PZ90C comes on, but its like all the pixels aren't being actived at once. Like there are all the colors, just few pixels per inch. and its really random... Also on the back, FD740 LED is flashing in the back. I looked all over for defective caps, but I did not discover any. unless I de-solder and test their capacitance, there really isn't a way. left in circuit will give me a false reading. Does anyone know the exact reason for this? The flash LED code? a service manual perhaps? Thanks

At first my D52W15 Powered on and cycled until it finally came on, but now it cycles 3X's more and then goes completely out, and wait for a few minutes and same thing occurs, Is it safe to assume that the Main Power board has failed and it should be replaced, also I have soldered some circuitry on P.C Mainboards in the past, can this board be repaired with simple soldering of fuses etc.. ? Ultimately I will just replace the PSU First-Off, then repair the Original PSU with Fuses,Transformers and/or Capacitors later on in my spare time .. From reading the previous post's above it appears this is a common problem for this brand, although I think it comes down to the circuitry within the last 3-4 years, it seems more problems occurred within the last 5 yrs with bad Caps (Dell) and bad Solder along with heat issues (Xbox 360) within the line of P.C's and Gaming Consoles. Please Advise, if by experience you feel as if it's a heat issue, I will recourse and plan for Cooling measure's.. Thank You for your knowledge in advance... RJ
