>> if u getting a general error report
>> try replacing both the printheads ..!!

>> else make a reset on the printer
[remove the power cable when printer is on, press # + 6 same time plug in the power cable, and wait till a msg comes on screen saying NVM reset..]

It totally reset. However, problem still occurring. HP Officejet Pro 7650 All-in-one keeps saying "save failure general error" when I scan to my usb mem stick. At other times it will scan, however, now it won't allow me to open/view the pdf anymore. I have a Mac OS X version 10.6.4. Previously it has been opening them fine.
    Any recommendations?...

Have the exact same printer, exact same problem. I read on another site that plugging the printer directly into the wall outlet (instead of a surge protector) solves the problem. After trying this, I haven't had the error come up again.

Can I scan from my wireless hp office jet pro 8500A to a memory card?

The easiest way would be to scan the image or text to your computer, then transfer it from there to your memory card. I'm sorry but this printer model does not scan directly. Hope this helps =]

I was scanning documents 8.5x11 into memory stick using microsoft word just stopped error came up 3015 hp laser jet all in one it scans otherwise except to microsoft word

Next time do not scan directly into an external memory device. Scan first into your hard drive and then copy/move it into your external memory device. It puts a kind of stress on the system; it is processing and copying at the same time.

Seems the stress has broken down your memory stick. To confirm if your memory stick is fully functional, check to see if you still see its icon under My computer. If you do try to copy any file into it. If it copies successfully, it means it is still OK. Then scan into the computer first then transfer into your memory stick. If however, it fails to copy, it means the memory stick is affect. Then you need to know to what extent? At least you need to know it you can recover your memory stick.

To do this, right click on the memory stick icon (under My Computer) and select "format." The Format dialogue box pops up. Format the memory stick. If it formats successfully, your memory stick is recovered. But it fails to format, you have lost your memory stick.

ECS PT800CE-A 3.4 P4 HT CPU and DDR400 (PC3200) problems

I seem to be unable to find any information about what an ERAND error even is. No one is really identifying it on the net. One thing you may try though is to find out if the bios settings are maybe causing this. Is the system overclocked at all? Are the voltages correct? Maybe try resetting Bios to default settings and trying again.

Boot error code 5d on a Chaintech VNF3-250 mobo.

Error Code 5d: Initialize Init Onboard Super IO switch.

Generally caused by a mismatched RAM stick int the MIDDLE RAM slot. Try using a single stick of RAM and boot, make sure you do not put this single stick of RAM in the middle slot, and it should boot right up.

We have an HP L7780 and have problems rec. faxes - error 232

Hate to say it, but it means "Don't buy HP printers". You'll be a whole lot happier with Canon or Epson. I had no end of trouble with more than HP all-in-one. They just get flaky after awhile, and the software (particularly scanning) is terrible.

My Sharp UX-355L Fax machine printed unwanted information

Sounds like you have the machine set up to print reports on all occasions, fax transmission, error, etc. You can change this by doing the following:
1 Press these keys:
The display will show:
4
FUNCTION
TRANSACTION LIST
2 Press a number from 1 to 5 to select
the condition for printing.
ALWAYS PRINT A report will be printed after each
transmission, reception, or error.
ERR/TIMER/MEM A report will be printed after an error,
timer operation, or memory operation.
SEND ONLY A report will be printed after each
transmission.
NEVER PRINT A report will never be printed.
ERROR ONLY A report will be printed only when an
error occurs.
To print from memory:
If the memory becomes full...
If the memory becomes full while the document is being scanned,
MEMORY IS FULL will appear in the display.
♦ Press the START/MEMORY key if you want to transmit the pages
which have been stored up to that point in memory. The remaining
pages will be ejected from the feeder. After transmission, the memory
will be cleared and you can transmit the remaining pages. You
will also need to transmit the page which was being scanned when
the memory filled up.
♦ Press the STOP key if you want to cancel the entire transmission.

Hope this helps. : )

Sony cybershot dsc-n2

I see the same type of reports on the internet for just about all types of Sony cameras.

It can occur when a memory stick goes bad or when the camera memory stick reader has a problem.

First try a reset of the camera.
You will have to check the User's Manual to see how to do this.

Next try a new (or different) memory stick and see if you get the same bad result.

If you do, it is likely the problem is in the camera.

Sony will probably want about $200 to fix the problem.
