I need a users manual that explains em the different functions of the keyboard. An online users manual for a "Logitech Cordless Desktop EX110" will be fine.

Hi,

Unfortunately we don't sell computer parts here. We only provide technical support services. However, since you need this part you can order this through THIS LINK. I just don't know if they accept payments through PayPal though.

The euro symbol is under the 5, how do i type this?

Hello,

The keyboard shortcut for the € symbol is Alt Gr + 5. However if this does not work, you may also enter the following key combination : Alt+0128.

You have to maintain the Alt key pressed while entering the 0128 code.

Hope this helps you.

I am trying to find a keyboard layout so I can take the keys off and clean them. Do you know where I can download a picture or instructions for doing this. I have a Dell Inspirion 1525 Laptop. Can you help...

You can view (or download) a service manual at Dell's site here. It shows how to remove the keyboard, which will make working on it much easier for you and will prevent possibly damaging the laptop with any cleaning material.

Neither the service manual or the setup guide on the site show a detailed key layout. What I do is take a picture or two with my cell phone camera so I can remember how things look before taking them apart. You can also lay the keyboard down on a scanner, if you have one, and make a picture of it that way.

It's not hard to take the keys off as they just snap on. But they really aren't designed to be removed, and the thin plastic snap tabs are fragile. Sometimes they don't snap back on securely once they come off. Work carefully and don't use excessive pressure in snapping the keys back in place.

If you're trying to clean the keyboard because of a spill, you may just be better off replacing it. New keyboards aren't expensive (around $20 to $30), and as you'll see in the service manual they are easy to change. This site even claims they have the keyboard for under $10.

Whatever you decide to do, good luck with the repair, and thanks for using Fixya!

How can I type Japanese o keybord?

Hai ! This is possible : )

Type in Chinese, Japanese, and other character-based languages

To type text on your computer in character-based languages, such as Chinese and Japanese, follow these steps:

[Source: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Type-in-Chinese-Japanese-and-other-character-based-languages]

  1. Add the language as an input language. If you want to use an input method editor (IME), make sure you select it when you add the input language. For more information, see Add an input language.
    Add an input language

You can edit documents in multiple languages by changing the language (the input language) in which you type. Input languages are included with Windows, but you need to add them to your list of languages before you can use them.

    1. Open Regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33.png, clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Regional and Language Options.

    2. Click the Keyboards and Languages tab, and then click Change keyboards.

    3. Under Installed services, click Add.

    4. Double-click the language you want to add, double-click the text services you want to add, select the text services options you want to add, and then click OK.

  1. Change your input language to the language you installed. For more information, see Change your input language.

Change your input language

The input language is a setting in Windows that controls the language you use to type information on your computer. Before you can change an input language, you need to add that language to Windows. For more information, see Add an input language.
To change the input language

Click the Input language button on the Language bar, and then click the input language you want to use.

If you don't see the Language bar, right-click the taskbar, point to Toolbars, and then click Language bar.

  1. Change your keyboard layout to the desired layout. For more information, see Change your keyboard layout.

Change your keyboard layout

You can customize your keyboard for a specific language or format by changing the keyboard layout. The layout controls which characters appear on the screen when you press the keys on your keyboard. Some input languages have several keyboard layouts; others have only one. For example, you can change your keyboard layout from the English QWERTY format to the English Dvorak format. After you change the layout, the characters on your screen might not correspond to the characters on your keyboard keys.

Before you can change the keyboard layout, you must add the input language and keyboard layout that you want to use to Windows. For more information, see Add an input language.

  2. Click the Keyboard layout button, and then select a keyboard layout.

On the Welcome screen, click the Keyboard layout button 0c181420-8a93-48b6-82b1-b2dc25fc01b5.png, and then select a keyboard layout.

TIP:
After you are done you can switch between Japanese and English very easily by manually pressing the on screen buttons or using keyboard commands like SHIFT+ALT to switch between Japanese (???) and the Alphabet.

Hi, is it (quite easily) possible to get a notebook with a spanish keyboard in the US ? I'm french and use a lot the differents accent and found that the spanish layout was the best one, IMHO. I saw that...

i think there are versions of notebooks and netbooks equipped with spanish keyboard layout. You can purchase online since these may come from spanish locations. However, just purchase an "External Keyboard" with spanish layout so that you can still preserve your current notebook. You can just configure windows then so that you can use the external keyboard.
