Question about Lexmark Office Equipment & Supplies
My Lexmark X7350 in the display area has black bars in the display. I tried turning it off and unplugging everything from it and then plugging everything back in and turning it on but nothing changes. I tried printing to it but the job just stays in the print queue. What do you think the problem is?
Hmm, that's a generic problem for Canon printers too. It can be a symptom of a burned out printhead. Remove the ink cartridges (and the print head if it is a separate unit). Look for evidence of burned/melted circuit traces. This is obvious on some Canon printheads; not so easy to see on the HP ink cartridges with built-in printheads. Either way, you should know that many printers are designed to "zap" the printheads with a high current pulse that gradually destroys the printhead circuitry. This is to keep you coming back for more (and prevent you from endlessly refilling those cartridges with built-in printheads).
