Question about Sony DCR-PC55 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
Hi i have a sony dcr-pc55e and when i go to use it the lcd screen falls down and doesn't hold in place, do i need a new hinge or bin the camera?
Mine did the same thing, the arm just decided to go limp one day. sony was charging me a flat rate of over $400 to look at it?????!!!!

Sounds like you need to have the hinge assy replaced. This should probably be done by an experienced technician. Amazon is still selling this camcorder for $585 so it is probably worth repairing...unless there is another camcorder with more bells and whistles that you have been wanting, then I would recommend putting that money towards a new one.
