Nice try :p But thanks anyway :p I reformated the harddisk even with the software from the manufacturer of the drive... it has no bad sectors at all, and i installed ubuntu, worked fine, but then again, my friend only wants to use windows, and i have put a windows 2000 on it.

    The problem keeps occuring.

Under 'device settings' is everything ok.. not even a questionmark to see... i have switched to another powersupply..no luck, put another diskdrive in it...no luck... put another cddrive in ...quess..the same... changed the memorymodules..no luck..changed the backup battery... even took al the pci-cards out... and still.. no solution... any help is welcome ! Thanks for youre reaction novelpet.

Well my Asus m2n6 am plus motherboard at least i think its the problem WELL the BIOS doesnt save settings made and i need to reinstall mi windows because it totally crashed :D virus or something But to...

The problem must be with the CMOS battery. That causes the BIOS setup to not retain changes, including the system clock. Verify also whether the time is correct.

Exployer 8 download crashed my intel asus p4pe with windows xp . I cant boot up. I get the voice welcome, then when it should boot up, it clicks and starts over. Never ending loop.

Hello,

I would recommend booting your pc to Safe Mode and restoring your system back to a date BEFORE the crash happened. When you power on your pc, press F10 or F8 until you hear a beep. This will bring up a command function for you to select what you would like to boot to . Choose Safe Mode.

Good Luck

Crash and reboots randomly

Carefully wriggle wires on the back of the PC, one at a time. A card (like video) could be loose. Also, make sure the heatsink/fan is clean, and running. It might be time to reinstall your operating system (I bet it is microsft). If you have another HD, you could install windows on it in your sys, and see what happens.

Help on Asus P5N32-E SLI Motherboard and hard disk

I am an advocate of ASUS boards..rock solid...Vista on the other hand...problems occur out of no where...when problems arise you always have to ask yourself" what has changed"..and work backwords from there.

Asus a8v-vm se fans always run

Hi jderek4, try this. locate the toggle switch on the back of the power supply. Just find it do not flip it.
Plug the PSU's power cord into the PC. Just as you got a good connection & the PC begains to power up move the toggle switch to it's other position. The PC should power off that very second.
If the PC does not shut off than the PSU is bad. If it did shut down wait a few seconds. Press the cases power on button. The PC should start to boot up. Let it finish loading. Click the start button & choose to shut down windows. The PC should shut off.
Yes? If not than your back to (bad power supply). Swap it out.
