Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5100 All-In-One Printer

Flashing red check ink lights

Cant get my kodak 5100 to print, say's no ink but have printed 1 page ok? its new so cartridges should be fine, pads are wet with ink, is it the heads?

    Red lights on for both black & colour ink when printer turned on for second time from new after succesful prints 1st time.

    Kodak agent advice - return to store for replacement AiO 5100.

    I have exact same problem. Suport people said they would send new print head. 13 hours work no print. I use to love kodak. Im done with kodak. JUNK

I have replaced ink 3 times and red lights still says new ink needed. it is a kodak 5100. i purchased this and a kodak easy share 2710 camera for my son for his college graduation.he brought it to me to try and fix. he has only had this for one month. used it spareingly. the camera seems fine he loaded the pictures on his dell laptop. but printer will not let him print

Printer had an error that couldnt be fixed so had to replace it.

Replace the print heads for the coloured inks you replaced, run the align printer head diagnotic from the printer menu. This should correct the print problem.

I attempted to print but the ink is not working. I recently installed new ink cartridges and the color indicator shows that both color and b/w are full


Hi, the is a problem of dry ink on the cartridge. you must remove the cartridge and try cleaning with a soft cloth, preferably damp. after cleaning, you should see ink coming out the cartridge when you simply press/bring the cloth near the passage. Last option, immerse only the lower part in warm water for 2 mins.

Flashing red "check ink" lights and nothing is wrong with ink


Is there a resume button on the printer? If so press this, often printers will allow you to bypass a low ink message and print for a while longer.

Our Kodak 5100 printer will not stop a red light flashing on ink


How often do you use the printer? I have the same problems with a Kodak AIO 5500. Go to the "Help Center" section of the Kodak.com website. This will lead you through troubleshooting and if the printhead is bad they should send you a new one under warranty. This is what I did.

Kodak 5100 AIO won't print after cartridge change


the red blinking light indicates that your printer wont recognize your ink carthridge. you can try to reseat the carthridge and the printhead. to remove the printhead just press on the release tab which is located on the upper left corner of the printhead wall. If this will not correct the issue, you need to call their technical support hotline. maybe the carthridge is faulty or there is a problem on the printhead. their hotline no is 1 800 421 6699

Kodak Printer will not Print Red Ink


I have problems printing red ink too. What can I do to resolve this and how can I purchase a new Printhead to see if this is the problem?

Verify that the ink cartridges are intact and securely inserted into the printhead, then make the same print.
  1. Lift the printer access door, then remove the ink cartridges from the printhead.
  2. Verify that the label on the ink cartridges is intact, and the cartridges are not damaged.
  3. Verify that only KODAK branded ink cartridges are installed.
  4. Insert the ink cartridges into the printhead, then press down firmly until you hear them click into position.
  5. Close the printer access door, then make the same print.
If this will not correct the issue, try to follow these steps
Clean the printhead, then print a demo sheet.

  1. Verify that inkjet paper is loaded in the paper trays.
  2. Press Menu.
  3. Select Clean Printhead, then press OK.
  4. Select Deep Clean, then press OK. The On/Off light flashes green during the cleaning procedure.
  5. When the On/Off light glows a steady green, select Print Demo Sheet, then pressStart.
If these steps will not correct the issue on the printout., you need to call Kodak technical support ( 1 800 421 6699) possible the printhead is defective and it needs to be replaced

Kodak EasyShare 5100 won't print


I have had the same frustrating problem.
I cntacted the Kodak live web chat help line and after removing the print head,switching the machine off for 1 min and reconnecting.Clean heads and recalibrate.
.....Still the same.
They then told me the print head was faulty and to contact Kodak for free repalcement.

5100 ink error


Both printer ligh flash red yet both cartridges are new and full.

I have removed printer head and swiched of printer for 15min as suggested by Kodak but the red light still flash.

Please can you help.
