Question about Televison & Video

5 Answers

We inadvertently changed the video output from YPbPr to RGB on our S VSR 25 Jamo system. We cannot access the setup menu to change it back and the screen is now showing Mode not Supported and we cannot see a DVD playing.

We have tried using a scart lead but that did not solve the problem, nor did turning the whole system on and off again. Any more ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for all your advice - a combination of your ideas and a night's sleep have solved the problem! Hooray! Will definitely use you again if we need to. Many thanks!

Try resetting the system, you can most likely just unplug it and it will reset. Let me know if you need further help. Thank you and have a good day.

You will probably fix this problem using a scart cable to temporary connect to tv and restore the settings. Scart should work automatically with any setting.

  • Ginko
    Ginko Apr 06, 2008

Connect the dvd to a different tv set using scart, it may depend on the tv.

Try pressing “I/P SET” button on remote.

    Ginko Apr 06, 2008

If all the above does not work, here is the reset procedure :
    Open the disc tray
Hold down STOP button on front panel
while holding down “TOP MENU” button on
remote. Be careful to point the
remote at the Remote Control Sensor, and that the remote is working
The TV screen now should displays software
    version.
Turn the S VSR 25 OFF on the front
panel and turn it back ON again after 10
    seconds.
If you have the opportunity test the jamo on a different tv pressing pressing “I/P SET” on remote.
If all the solutions do not work, there may be an additional problem than just video settings.

Sony VPH D50Q projector doesn't see signals above 480i

HI Tom,

For some reason I cannot reply to other inquiry would you please close the problem, I am glad that the configurations worked out for you.

Al

************************************************************************
In order to configure the proyector for hd video you would need to change a couple of things in your set up.

First you would need to use hd cables, and not the rgb. You can purchase some standard high def cables at any best buy or radioshack, depending on the source device there is the standard high def out, the set of 5 cables, 3 video plus the 2 audio.

To enable the unit to support the progressive DVD signal, perform the following
procedure.

Connect the DVD player’s component output into Input A.
In the SET SETTING menu select HDTV-YPbPr for Input A.
In the INPUT SETTING menu highlight Sync and select EXT (HV).
The IDTV module disables itself automatically

Perform this procedure with nothing connected to the component input on the projector, otherwise you will get the an off/on flickering screen which prevents you from seing what you are doing when navigating the menu screens. Perform the procedure and then connect.

Let me know if you need anything else,

Al

Picture went to all pink but menu is in full color if bypass hd inputs picture is fine and using rca cables picture is fine its just the component connections that turn screen all pink

Your output device is likely trying to send out a YPbPr signal. On the output device try switching it to an automatic mode ideally or manually switching it to RGB. On the PS3 it is under the Video Settings section (Not the display settings.)

PS2 on a LCD

You will need to go to your PS2 system configuration screen and change from RGB to YPbPr component video output. The 1920ex (remember to switch source to YPbPr) will then correctly recognise the signal from PS2.

Hope this helps you. I am also a 1920ex user.

Sky not working properly on my samsung lcd tv

This is likely to be caused by the changing of the screen mode between ads and or programs, by your TV.

If so, changing the Sky output to 16:9 will fix it.

Press [Services]

Select option 4 - System Setup

Select option 1 - Picture Settings

Change "Location 1" TV setting to 16:9 (This will make the Sky box handle any changes and give you a permanent widescreen output to your TV. This is the recommended setting for widescreen TVs, but sadly, few Sky installers bother to do it.

You can also change "Location 2" if you have a second widescreen TV connected in another room.

Whilst in this menu change the Video Output to RGB from PAL (If not set already) RGB gives a much more stable picture (particularly on the menu system)

Go to Save new settings and press [Select]

Exit the menu system, and you problem should be solved.

Connecting component video YPbPr to TV with BNC port for RGBHV

No, this will not work. Picture will roll vertically. Originally they intended for HDTV to be red, green, blue, & Horizontal, Vertical sync. That changed after the first generation mitsubishi's.
In the service menu you can change the settings for the HDTV Input. Try that first by "Hitting menu button followed by 1259" or menu 1257. Let me know how that works for you, If you need a different code for service menu...contact me again and i will look it up for you. But the answer to your question is you can make it work or you can purchase a 300.00 box that will allow you to switch to that input thru..mitsubishi.tv.com
Good luck and keep me posted. GURU JAY
