Question about Samson C03 Professional Microphone

Samson C03 Microphone using with Realtek HD Audio Manager

I have installed Samson C03 Microphone on my BRAND NEW Windows XP Computer. I have Realtek HD Audio Manager. For sound My computer is hooked up to my Denon hifi system with stereo speakers. The software that came with the Samson is SONAR LE. I also installed the Samson Softpre Applet afterwards. Everything has been installed correctly
It's been a nightmare trying to get my microphone to work properly. As soon as I sing it clicks, echos and has a rubbish sound. I've tried, tried, tried to fix the basic input audio and God knows what else. Please help!

I have a C01U and it does the same thing - sounds like a bit-degraded Robot, right?

It's 100% the Softpre software. If you uninstall it, it works fine. It's a pain though, because the Softpre software (when it works properly) gives a much better recording quiality.

SEU MICROFONE PRECISA DE UM RECURSO CHAMADO PHANTON POWER QUE NADA MAIS é DO QUE UMA ALIMENTAçãO DE 48 VOLTS, PORTANTO NECESSITA DE UM APARELHO INTERMEDIARIO, COMO UMA MESA DE SOM COM ESTE DISPOSITIVO OU UM ADAPTADOR PHANTON POWER COM SAIDA USB PARA O SEU PC, NO CASO DA MESA TAMBEM é NECESSARIO UMA PLACA DE AUDIO COM CONEXãO USB EXEMPLO UCA 202 DA BEHRINGER , PODES CRER Só ASSIM FUNCIONA E SOM é MUITO BOM.

You need to reduce the buffer size of your DAW and use ASIO4ALL to get low latency monitoring.

I connected the microphone on my computer and the system rec.ognized the microphone but I don't know how to use it with the computer to bring out sound

The thing is that the Samson C01U was not designed for live applications. Your solution, if you like delayed sound, is to use Virtual Audio Cable. Otherwise, I would get either a Samson GTrack, or invest in a cheap but functional mixer with a good mic. If you want to record however, you go into your audio recording settings and select the C01U as the recording mic. If you record and hear little sound, go into sound manager... Click on properties and select on Samson C01U. A one channel volume control will pop out. change the volume and record. BTW, a good audio program is Audacity... It's free. I hope that I have helped you...

If it's brand new I'd send it back under warranty and get a different one. Obviously it's the mic, and they should pay for your shipping and handling fees.

Samson G-track - Vista requiring to install USB Audio Codec

If the LED doesn't light when you plug it in, and it doesn't show up in Device Manager ("USB Composite Device" or "USB Audio Device"), then the mic must be defective. Contact Samson for a replacement.
