Iam having IBM 6221 13A model of IBM Desk top.It is working with dual monitor , horizontally expanded.Presently i have formatted the system and reloaded the software again .now it is not working in dual...

you did not say dual port GPU card nor using 2x GPU cards.
so must be DAISY CHAINED Display card, there, NOT TOLD IT.
on all PCs on earth , (NO OS told at all why?)
the correct software drivers for the GPU card must be loaded
from the card makers site
if no card then from Lenovo.
yes horz = DP? daisy chained. mon to mon link.
you meant
IntelliStation Z Pro Type 6221 (made 2004, 14 years ago)
that>?
nobody knows what is inside any desktop (added)
for sure GPU cards 12 makers, + and vast models.
if all IBM is it?
the card choices are listed in the free IBM manual

Video adapter: Accelerated graphics port
(AGP) Pro 50 video with one of the following:
v Matrox Millennium G450 (DVI-I) 4X with 32
MB double-data-rate (DDR) synchronous
dynamic random access memory (SDRAM)
video memory and a single DVI-I or dual
analog connectors (or dual VGA monitor
capability with the pigtail cable that came
with the system)
v NVIDIA Quadro4 NVS 280 (LFH-60), AGP
8X, with 64 MB DDR SDRAM video
memory and dual analog connectors (or
dual digital monitor capability with the
purchase of an additional pigtail cable)
v NVIDIA Quadro4 980XGL (DVI-I), AGP 8X,
with 128 MB DDR SDRAM video memory
and dual DVI-I connectors
v NVIDIA Quadro FX 1000 (DVI-I), AGP 8X,
with 128 MB DDR2 SDRAM video memory
with dual DVI-I connectors
v NVIDIA Quadro FX 1100 (DVI-I), AGP 8X,
with 128 MB DDR SDRAM video memory
with dual DVI-I connecctors
v NVIDIA Quadro FX 3000 (DVI-I), AGP 8X,
with 256 MB DDR SDRAM video memory
with dual DVI-I connectors
v 3Dlabs Wildcat4 7110 (DVI-I), AGP 8X, with
128 MB texture buffer DDR SDRAM video
memory and 128 MB frame buffer video
memory, and dual DVI-I connectors.

only Display port allows daisy chaining monitors
but there is no such card from IBM in 2004
worst of all AGP is dead technology.
how you get DP here?

we can not see back of your PC nor what is inside
and desktops can be expanded greatly , no limits. really. if savvy
worst of all this relic has not one, PCI-express slot.
so only old relic cards fit.

2 hard drives and 2 OS in one tower. win98 and winXP pro How can I configure so I have a boot option at startup?

Install first the Win98 OS to your Drive C: and then Install the WinXP to your drive D:
after you restart the system it will prompt you to boot either on Win98 or XP. You can also do this in one hdd only. all you have to do is to repartition the hdd

IBM Intellistation z 6221-3m8 computer

It will run faster only if the applications are multi-threading capable. Nearly all older apps cannot take advantage of multi-threading, but some of the newest apps are starting to be coded to take advantage of multiple cores/threads. You may also have to update the OS for it to recognize the second core.

IBM IntelliStation Z Pro 6221NNG upgrade possiblity

This: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/system-requirements.aspx is a link to the system requiements. As for memory, I can't find out if it's DDR or DDR2. If you don't know either, try downloading a tool called CPU-Z. That should display DDR or DDR2, and I can then recommend something.
As for the graphics card, you could try to get an ATi 9000 series card somewhere.(maybe buy one on ebay? I doubt they still sell them new...) I have one too, in an old PC, and while it doesn't run any new games, it's fast enough for the casual user.

Intellistation Dreaded "ntldr not found"

You have the solution given the fact that the IBM netloader wants to be subordinant to a loaded OS on a different drive acting as server when used on a thin client like the Intellistation. Unless carried as a portion of the registry of an MS OS, XP or Vista will drop it unless registered with a NetUpdate as a standing part of the registry. But most sysops conduct updates without all clients active so that some will inevitably be dropped, which is why the best strategy is to conduct updates on Off Hours when all clients can be up without human interaction, impossible during the workday, unless you deactivate an entire set of nodes for the purpose.

Run a reregistry while the Intellistation is on and active but without an operator and your problem should disappear more permanently.

Mayeb you need to repair the OS - In which case you will need to have SCSI Controller XP OS floppy driver obtained from IBM website.

Start up the computer booting up from the CD ROM. Then when it comes to "install thrid party devices" - press 'S' and insert the floppy with the SCSI Coontroller on it and follow the on screen instructions.

Windows Xp on Intellistation Z Pro type 6221

A restoration disc is not a conventional Windows OS disc (and vice versa), therefore it often cannot be used as if it were a true Windows disc. The restoration disc includes the OS, but it also includes every driver and other software product that came with your system. If Windows were the only item loaded on your system, then a Windows disc could serve as a restoration disc, but these days, using a typical restoration disc is an all-or-nothing process.

A restoration disc is your ultimate troubleshooting tool. Suppose that your copy of Windows becomes damaged from a virus or key applications become corrupted. Symptoms such as instability, crashing, indecipherable error messages, and impaired performance are extremely hard to diagnose by yourself—even if you have the help of a customer support technician on the telephone. If the most common corrective steps fail, you can always use the restoration disc to recover your PC back to its known-good, factory-fresh state.
