I have a 2GB Kingston pen drive. It displays a number of folders and files with irrelevant symbols and alpha-numerals. I could nor delete those folders/files or open the folders/files. I checked the pen drive with spyware terminator and other antivirus soft wares but no virus or malware was found. The properties section shows that the file/folder is empty where as when mouse is placed on the file it shows fictitious size of the order of more than 1 GB. Please help me over the problem

If there are such unknown folders and files in your pen drive and you did not place them there, then you have reasons to be cautious. Try to run a virus scan, these night be trojans or worms, etc. or copy/backup the important files in your pen drive then, format your pendrive.

Kingston Data Traveler 2.0 64 GB USB - file system corrupted - need to work on windows XP- Upon formatting the pen drive It shows that it has become a raw drive - wat is the file format for the USB to work...

Theoretically, you can't format a more than 32 GB drive with FAT/FAT32 file system. In your case you have to choose the NTFS file system to format your 64 GB USB flash drive. However, if you really need to format it with FAT32, you got to use the command line or a third party tool. Hope this is going to help you.

8 gb kingston Data Traveller showing zero disk space

All you need to do is to format the Pen Drive.
Open My computer.
Right Click on Pen drive.
Then click on Format. You will get different options like quick format or such.
Select the option that says complete format.
Once you format the drive you will be able to use it.

Thanks
Jimmy
