Your phone runs on the symbian operating system which is the best but then pda's and smart phone are prone to virus.
it is advisable to get an anti-virus software on your phone since it looks as if you do use your bluetooth in receiving and sending information a lot.
some mobile virus such as carbir(carib) are notorious for blocking bluetooth conectivity so get some mobile phone anti-virus to prevent damage to your information and phone.
on the other hand is you do have one then makes sure it is up to date.

How do I turn on the included bluetooth? When I press the bluetooth icon all I see is ''No Device''. Also, can I transfer files using the CIR port with my PDA?

Sounds like you may not have bluetooth installed. Go to device manager on your acer, start>right click My Computer>properties>Hardware tab>Device Manager. Scroll down to Network adpater then click on the Network Adapter. You should see devices with Bluetooth as there name..if not then you can't use it because you don't have it..if you do see Bluetooth then activate it by clicking FN+F2 or you may need to check your manual on the web some have a switch on the side to turn on bluetooth and wireless, Same thing..the CIR is the max rate your ISP provides you, so there is no way for me to tell if you can send large files or not you have to find out what the transmission rate is.
Please rate this solutoin.

same thing happened to mine. I already bought a new battery, but it seems that the problem is not on the battery. This bluetooth error appears to be the problem for draining my battery.

Bluetooth

I know that it is not very helpfull to say this, but you are not alone with this fault which appears to be quite common to the D500.I assume that the same notice appears when you attempt to activate IR as this is usually the case. The only suggestion that has been doing the rounds is as follows. Remove the back and look at the chassis and you will see a square IC unit near the battery connectors. Apply heavy but carefull pressure on this and try the Bluetooth again. This is said to have cleared the fault in at least two cases.

Connect to the internet via

Once the Socketcom Bluetooth card is inserted in the Toshiba Pocket e570 PC and the software has been loaded, the following instructions will set up the Toshiba PDA & Ericsson T39 mobile phone to connect to the Internet. Click on the Bluetooth icon in the bottom right hand corner. Click on Get Connected! Select the device under My Bluetooth phone is: In this case the Ericsson T39. The following information gives details on how to change the name of the Mobile device. Once this has been read, click on Next. The phone now has to be made discoverable so that the PDA will detect it. To do this, use the down arrow on the phone to select Extras and then click on Yes. Scroll down to Bluetooth and Click on Yes. Select Make Discoverable and a message on the phone will appear saying that the phone is discoverable for the next 3 minutes. Click on Next on the PDA. The PDA will now look for a Bluetooth device(s). Once the mobile is detected the PDA will search for the Device Name of the mobile. Click on Select and the devices will not connect and create a partnership. The following Device Bonding window should appear to create a bond between the PDA and phone. Click on Next. To create the bond a passkey must be entered on the PDA. This may be a between a 4-16 digit code. N.B. We would advise that the code be kept to a numeric sequence as the keys contain more than one letter on them, i.e. for the letter L, the number 5 key will need to be depressed 3 times. Once the passkey is entered, click on the Reply button. On the mobile, click on Yes to accept the incoming pass and then enter the same passkey. Click on Yes again to confirm. If the two values are correct, a message will appear on the phone telling you that the devices are bonded. The PDA should now congratulate you on your connection. For Internet access via Bluetooth, please follow the steps outlined below. The above instructions only need to be carried out each time a connection is required. However, the instructions below only need to be setup once. Click on Start, then Settings from the drop down menu. Click on the Connections tab at the bottom of the screen followed by the Connections icon utility. In the first drop box labelled "When needed automatically connect to The Internet using these settings" select New. Under the General tab you will be prompted to give the new connection a name, e.g. Bluetooth. Select the modem "Bluetooth Phone" and click on Next Make sure that the fields for the boxes titled Country code and Area code, are empty. The next field requires the full telephone number, including STD code, you wish to dial, i.e. your ISP telephone number. Put this in and click on Next. The next page contains a time out clause if the PDA is unable to connect within a set time. By default this should be 120 seconds. Make sure the tick box for "Wait befo
