Canon support suggested I download the newest version of Quicktime. That fixed the sync problem while viewing my movies. There was no reason given, but I'm guessing that Windows Media Player is lacking when it comes to these particular files.

I hope this assists others with a similar problem.

There is no way to fix this, as the new netflix app for android is meant for android versions 4.0 and up, and the galaxy tab not only lacks that version, but does not have a fast enough processor to process the audio and video, causing lag in the sync.

Dear yogebear,

Welcome, and thank you for using FixYa!

I would recommend you begin solving your issue by installing a PCI-Express or PCI sound card in this system.
Most of the time, on-board audio, under the stress of HD movies, with flake out (crack under the pressure)
Go up on your favorite shopping site, like www.newegg.com and pick a good Sound Blaster card for your Home Entertainment Center.

Have a great evening!

ITunes does not support this player. To put music on the player you must copy the files from the folders where the music files are on your computer to the device mounted on your computer.

Hi, I usually use leawo blu ray ripper to rip my blu ray movies, it has the ability to decrypt Blu-ray disc with MKB level ranged from 0 - 21 and with AACS and BD+ protection has made it the strongest ever to rip Blu-ray videos.

The audio and video are not in sync

Are the movies you're watching store purchased DVDs? Sometimes with downloaded movies, the audio and video are just out of sync.

If they're store bought, it's possible that you've got a delay set in your receiver. Consult your receiver's operating manual to see if there's a "delay" option.

It's also possible that you're hearing that delay in the TV speakers.

If you've got the audio coming through the receiver AND the tv, you'll hear a slight delay when the audio's traveling from the DVD player to the television itself. This could happen "sometimes", if the tv volume is on, and not happen when the tv volume is off.

Playing video

There are literally hundreds of audio and video codecs out there,
not to mention the dozens of possible media containers
(file-formats) to hold and synchronize the audio and video
streams in a movie.

1) The first step is to identify the codecs and container interfaces
needed to play each file.

2) Download a copy of the G-SPOT codec information
appliance from:

http://gspot.headbands.com/

3) Use this awesome tool to identify the codecs and container,

then download the correct codecs.

You can also test/play the movie from within GSPot.

4) Finally, keep in mind that media from P2P downloads
is often corrupt (or worse) which may be the reason
the audio does not work. The file type could also be
mislabeled or have the wrong extension.

5) I recomend emule over lime wire, with an inter-connected
VLC player. The VLC player is very good at playing
incomplete or damaged movies and audio. (it is free)

6) Finally, when downloading movies, alway DL more than
one version at the same time, hoping one will work.

prefer larger files for better quality, and avoid small files
like the plague because the are often malware.

A movie should be at least 5 MB per minute. Anything
smaller than that is highly suspect.
most formats, except real-media.

Hope this helps

I have a canon SD 580. When I playback the video clip it's always in fast forward mode and I can't play it normal speed. Any help?

Make sure you are shooting your movies in "Standard" mode. If you have the mode set to something else, especially "Time Lapse", the playback may not match 'natural' motion.

In any case, you can control the speed of the playback. When you first enter the movie playback mode, there should be a movie control bar along the bottom of the LCD. Instead of the "Play" button, select the "Slow Motion Playback" button (single arrow with single bar next to the normal Play button), and control the speed with the left or right arrows on the multi-controller.
