How to get my usb ports working. have connected100% Normal mouse and keyboard port not working. trying to connect USB keyboard & mouse. Can't get into the bios? Can anyone assist me please?

Try using a PS2 keyboard and pressing F2 to enter BIOS if this is possible.
Then navigate the the Peripheral settings and make sure that the USB ports are switched on or, if available, set USB ports to legacy support.

Supermicro SuperServer 5013G-M - PS2 error

Hello here is the homepage:

http://www.supermicro.com/products/system/1u/5013/sys-5013g-m.cfm

Is your Mouse a USB mouse or is it a HYBRID Mouse? Look at the bottom of mouse and see what is written. It should give you the: (1-) Name (2-) Model Number & it will either say: "USB Mouse" or "USB 2.0 and PS2 Compatible". If it is USB 2.0 and PS2 Compatible, then it is a HYBRID MOUSE - You should have a - USB to PS2 - Adapter that came with the mouse.

Use that adapter and plug into the PS2 Mouse port - (only if it is a HYBRID). It will automatically configure itself as a PS2 mouse. Now you will have both your Input devices set as PS2.

(2) - If it is a USB mouse, can you obtain a PS2 mouse to temporarily use? If you can; try using the PS2 Mouse Port?

Now you may have to set BIOS on - with regard to:
(1) - Legacy USB Support -(Either Support or Disable)
(2) - USB settings to what Motherboard supports

Try also to upgrade the drivers/bios, if nessesary.

SET LEGACY USB SUPPORT TO "DISABLED" FOR BOTH MOUSE & KEYBOARD IN BIOS.

Good luck

PS2 KEYBOARD & MOUSE Not responding.

Try connecting one at a time, if you connect the mouse don't connect the keyboard, and if you connect the keyboard, don't connect the mouse, reboot each time and check which one is the culprit. One of the port or device must be creating the problem. Good luck.

My keyboard, mouse and USB ports do not function at Startup any more. The keyboard and mouse function perfectly on other machines. The motherboard is ASRock P4i45GV (5.0), with a Celeron. I've used the...

Are the mouse and Keyboard USB varieties? If so, then try plugging in a PS/2 mouse and keyboard and boot the machine up. You can then check your system hardware settings in control panel and reinstall the USB drivers. This would be my first step in solving the problem. If you need any more help then just ask

Sometimes not detect my mouse and keyboard ..so i changed mouse and keyboard..its now same as problem..keyboard is LED blink in starting only..i can't change even bios without work keyboard...what this...

It sounds like some problem could be in the bios.

Make sure you are connected to the right ports.
In the newer boards the mouse and the keyboard port appear to be same and can plug in as well.
Both ports are PS/2 type and can be confusing...
The problem you are stating seems to be that is what is wrong.

On the back where you connect the keyboard, make sure it is in the right socket...port.
And the mouse as well.

USB MOUSE x PC BOOT

Could be a problem with your system BIOS, enter the setup while your computer is booting (before it gets to windows) by hitting the F12 key probably. Make sure that the boot order is HDD first, not something else.

Problem

That particular board has PS2 ports on it. I would suggest a couple of things. If you have a PS2 keyboard, plug it in and use it since legacy USB support might not be turned on in BIOS.

If that works, go into BIOS and turn on legacy USB support and then try the USB KB again.

Secondly, if you don't have a PS2 keyboard, get your manual out and clear the CMOS. It might be that the legacy USB is turned off and clearing the CMOS will re-enable that (assuming it is done at the factory).

Good luch.
