Turn off daily alarms

Hi,

I have a GE security system that I got as part of my 3 year old model home that I just occupied. Do not have a manual and it is not clear what model it is. Here is the issue- everyday at 8 AM, 5 PM and 9 PM, the systems starts beeping. It continues to beep until I key in the code something like Disarm-3-1234. I do this 3 times a day and it is very annoying. How do I disable this alarm clock feature. I have no monitoring setup.

Thanks.

Sounds like a trouble alarm. Try this manual page 39. Hopefully this is the type panel you have if not let me know of any writing, model numbers etc that could help me identify the specific panel.

GE Simon 3 Installation Transformer vs. GFI...Need Help!!!

I have been installing alarm systems for over 30 years. A GFI circuit's main purpose is to kick the breaker to prevent electrical shock. You will most likely find these in kitchens, bathrooms, outdoors and basements. The reason most alarm manufacturers do not want you plugging into one of these is they are sensitive to humidity and are more suseptical to cutting off electric power to the outlet. Therefore they are less reliable in providing power to your alarm system. Over the years there have been situations where I had no other choice but to plug into a GFI circuit. Doing this will not harm the system but it will increse your chances of losing power to the system.

Want to program telephone number in GE Simon 3 system

Hi,
You need to get the ''installer code'' from your alarm company in order to go into the programming of your system and do the change...and of course the programming manual, please be advised hat if you make any change to your system and something goes wrong your alarm company could charge you in order to fix the problem. Legally, IF you bought the system, you are entitled to get the installer code, the alarm company can't even think to argue about that!.

Thanks,
