Sounds to me that either your hard drive is bad, your graphics card is bad, or your power supply is bad. Kinda a tough decision to try and narrow it down to one item when you ask yourself which component to replace. The power supply is going to be the cheaper of the three to replace and the video card and hard drive will cost about the same. If I can be of any further help, please let me know.

My pc is hcl monitor working on windows 7 When I start my Pc the windows comes directly shows that Attention Not Support Out Of Range I.know pressing F8 Key but Nothing is happening help

Sounds like you set the refresh frequency/resolution of your monitor to a value not supported by the monitor. You need to restart in safe mode and reset the resolution.

Keep pressing F8 at boot until the menu appears. Try restoring to a previous point.

Or try
- Boot in Safe Mode with networking and Uninstall your current GPU Drivers.
- Download the current Drivers and install
- Restart the PC in the Low resolution Mode (F8 Safe Mode launch menu)
- Use your Graphics Card Control Panel and Force change your settings back to the original working ones.

Ok i have a toshiba laptop with windows 7 its a sattelite L455D-S5976 i need to find a link to restore it i didnt get a recovery disk when i bought it

Start the computer in safe mode and run System Restore:
Click the Start button Picture of the Start button, click the arrow next to Shut Down, and then click Restart.

Do one of the following:
If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts.

You must press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shutting down and restarting your computer.

If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to highlight the operating system you want to start in safe mode, and then press F8.

On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode, and then press Enter.

Log on to your computer with a user account that has administrator rights. When your computer is in safe mode, you'll see the words Safe Mode in the corners of your monitor.
Click the Start button Picture of the Start button, type "system restore" in the search box, click System Restore, and then click Next. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Choose a restore point when your PC worked as expected, click Next, and then click Finish.

Use system utility software like RegInOut after restarting windows normally. It will repair corrupt registry and windows files.

Hello, Abdi.

I have some suggestions for you. It's possible that your hard drive is failing. Run Diagnostics and check your hard drive. Upon boot, press F12 rapidly (or could be F2) and choose the Diagnostics.

Another suggestion is to use System Restore, in the event that your operating system file(s) is problematic. Again, boot your system to Safe Mode (press F8 repeatedly when powering on). Go to System Restore and choose a date when your system worked OK. Note: with System Restore, all your updates will roll back to that date. Follow the process.

Hope this helps.

HP computer after an uninstall of MS office 2003 black screen on startup monitor is working fine can't even restore to specific point in time

When turning on or booting up you computer, taping F8 immediately and select safe mode using scroll up and down arrow keys and press enter to select safe mode. If there is a small window prompt asking confirmation just click yes or OK. When you already in windows desktop, click start, programs, accessories, system tools and system restore. Then try to restore your system after the day you uninstalled your MS Office 2003.

Hi, MY grandson was left alone with my PC when i returned the colour and contrast on the monitor was very dull also the menu language changed to japanese. I have tried to set it manually but nothing...

I think you know the first thing you did wrong!
Try booting into safe mode using the F8 key on startup and then do a system restore back to before your grandson visited. You could also choose "boot to last known good configuration"
Then password protect the computer and don't let him know what it is!

I own an acer travelmate 290, and getting no display on monitor.

First check to see if your PC has a built in factory restore, or system recovery, usually available using CTRL & F12, F10, etc. Check your manual, if you don't then, OK try this, Startup PC, press F8 at instant of turn on... choose Safe Mode. when you are asked if you want safe desktop or system restore choose restore, when you get to the restore menu, choose a date BEFORE you had problems there may only be one or two to choose from. just follow the instructions and you should be back to working with all that behind you. If that doesn't work, boot up on your Windows DVD and do a "Repair Install", If thats doesn't work do a format and a reinstall.

Screen wont fire up, on/off button flashing in the on position.

try rebooting in safe mode (turn PC off ,then on again, and then press F8 as it powers up until it shows the boot menu) If the monitor doesnt show anythingat all during bootup..... then either the monitor is dead or the videocard is dying.

Monitor goes blurry, colours/pixels start shaking across screen

Do you have your screen saver enabled, i so turn it off and se if it still does it. Secondly boot your pc in safe mode(pressing F8) on boot up and select start windows in safe mode. See if the monitor still does it, if so a monitor fault or loose/faulty vga lead. If it is ok then your graphics driver may be corrupt and need re installing.
