1994 continental. air ride. compressor starts and rear starts to lift, but after 3-4 mins. i get a beep and light on dash says ride control and then she squats in the rear?

When I got my 1994 Continental, it had already been converted back to a coil-spring suspension, and the air-ride system was GONE. You will find that is the case with most of the ones that are still on the road. The air-ride system turned out to be an unreliable, trouble-prone, nightmare for most owners....and it was cheaper to scrap it and go back to after-market coils, than what it was to have a Lincoln dealer fix it. Looks like you're destined to join the club....If you decide you want to have it fixed, and make the car driveable, be prepared to PAY for it.

Air suspension diagrams

If you are having problems with the Air-Ride, for example air pump not working, your best bet is to have a conversion kit installed. Do away with the Air-Ride and install coil springs and shock-absorbers. It is far easier and cheaper.

What size coil springs for 2001 lincoln navigator rear supension

That is not a question you ask on the internet,
& no one has any diagrams, unless they own the
same vehicle & have purchased factory manuals

You ask a dealer by giving the parts dept your
VIN #

If your converting from air to conventional suspension,
then you ask the parts suppliers that sell the new parts
your going to use to replace the air shocks/struts

Air ride suspension leaking in rear of car is their a better solution than air ride...my car is a 1994 continental has 104k runs great thats the only thing wrong is the air ride suspension...

It is possible to go with conventional springs/shocks instead of the air ride system. This has become a common "fix" for faulty air bags due to the expense. The ride will still be great, you will only lose the load leveling ability that the air bags provided.
