SOURCE: remove panel behind ignitor knobs

I found the solution at Apparently the knobs are VERY difficult to remove and must be pried off using two screw drivers on either side of the knob and working back and forth. I sprayed them with WD40 before replacing them.

After getting past this poor design issue, the remainder of the repair was very simple, as I expected it would be.

SOURCE: Do I need to remove my Creda Europa 48132 built in double oven unit from its housing to replace thermostat in main oven compartment, or can it be done from removal of control panel?

You may have to do the former. You will have your temp probe to deal with as well.

Frigidaire glass top stove dual element ony works on high no matter were knob is set

Hello Chad;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

It sounds like you have a bad Warmer Infinite Switch.

Once installed, the switch controls your gas range's warmer drawer element. When replacing your gas range's switch, consider replacing its knob (PartsDirect part number 316442403) if it shows significant wear.
To replace your gas range's warmer infinite switch, pull the knob off the switch and remove the screws securing it. Disconnect any wires running to the switch and take note of those connections. Remove the switch and put the new one into its place, reattaching the wires to the same terminals. Be sure to unplug your gas range before beginning the repair.

It is located on the right hand side of your display panel. You have to remove the side panels screws and control panel back to access.

Replace digital display for Jenn-Air range

Obviously, safety first. This being an electrical fix, unplug or otherwise disconnect the power to the appliance.
A philips screwdriver and 1/4" nut driver(or socket) are all that's needed.
First, there are 8 fasteners on the underside of the control panel. Only the 4 nearest the oven openning need to be removed from here.
Next, remove the burner knobs for the stovetop(simply pull straight off; if stuck, wrap a folded wash cloth behind the knob to gain extra leverage). Then remove the 4 screws that were behind the knobs.
At this point the panel should be loose and pulling out the bottom of the control panel will allow it to clear the knob shafts. Be careful not to pull too far, as the wires to the control board are rather delicate.

I have a GE profile Glass top M#JSP47COF4CC That is cracked but can't figure out haw to remove. Have already removed 4 screws under control panel still won't budge

To remove the top on this range, remove burner knobs and face plate, then remove 2 screws from control panel one at each end. Fold panel down out of the way, remove 5 screws accross front of control panel and release 2 quick connect plugs for burners, then lift to remove glass top. Flip over remove 2 screws and clips from each burner and the indicator light assembly just pops out. Transfer this to new top and reverse your steps for removal.

there are (2) resetable thermostats in this particular oven, the first is located on the rear of the unit behind the panel ( if standing behind unit its in the upper left hand side of unit. 2 wires leading to the thermostat and a small "buton" to press to reset it. if it doesnt work after resetting that one then the second on eis located under the control panel behind the second burner knob from the right.. to acess this pne youll need to remove the burner knobs::: then loosen and remove the plastic hold down under the knobs, the contriol panel will lift off thenand then remove the 4 \screws holding hte clock assy in position, when thats lifted out of the way( no need to disconnect)you see hte same resettable thermostat moundted on the unit rigth behind that second switch, simply reach in and reset it...TURN POWER OFF PRIOR TO EITHER REPAIR LIVE WIRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Electronic Control Panel Problem

Anyone else experiencing this problem might want to try the following. We removed all affected rubber push buttons, exposing the electronic printed circuit panel behind the protective glass. We sprayed a soft rag with "M.G. Chemicals Heavy Duty Flux Remover" and pushed it in each opening in the glass panel, twisting it to clean the circuit panel behind each push button. We then cleaned the back side of each rubber push button with the same flux remover chemical. Since then, the push buttons require the slightest touch to activate. Surprisingly, when pressed firmly they don't work as consistently. We're hoping this is a lasting solution.
