Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Where can I get a compatible external microphone for my nv-mx500b panosonic camcorder

You can get them from google shopping just needs a stereo 1/8th inche adapter. The recommended model is VW-VMS2E. But you can find comparable zoom microphones for 1/5 of the price. or if you want a regular microphone for people to hold when you record. Anything with a 1/8th inche microphone in jack will do. If you need further assistance please feel free to let me know. thanks, Midwest-tek

After a deep study of the manual there are two reset buttons. One on the remote (pg 8 #4). The camera reset is next to the tape eject button. (pg6 #25). Hope this helps.
