Question about Televison & Video
HERE ARE FEW TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS YOU CAN TRY:
ONE: Check the line cord. Wiggle both ends near the molded part.
TWO:Do a hard reset by unpluging all the cords for 4hrs and then plug it back.
THREE:Go into the OSD and make sure the settings are correct for the mode you are using it
FOUR:The whacking test is to just bang or smack the set with your hand on the back, side, top, etc., to see if there are loose connections or cold solder joints inside that are acting up. If so, the banging should knock them back to normal and the set should restore. You might have to use some creative banging and some have had to put a book or magazine under one corner to torque the chassis enough to get it to work reliably.
After the above you still have the green screen you may need a service tech. I have never seen service on a large set of this kind to be less than $200; usually more. In this case, if the reset and double checking all the function settings does not solve the problem I suspect it is a video driver problem. I would expect the service charge to be on the low side or in the $250 area.
Please don't forget to accept the solution as fixya.
