Question about Philips WACS700 Shelf System
I load my music via cd or pc and initiall it goes onto thehard drive and is converted to MP3 format although very very slowly. If however the unit looses power or mowed to another room obviously unplugged the all music has gone! Any solutions please
Sounds like the unit is not finishing the conversion, it can be painfully slow. best is to convert into mp3 on a pc, then transfer. I use WACHandler from www.lucia-mathias.com/wacs, it is excellent, much better than philips software, and enables you to get music back from centre to pc, also does ripping etc and maintains sync records of music on pc and centre.

After the MP3 songs are transferred from the PC to the Music Center via DMM, do not disconnect the power cord. The Center is updating its internal database to mark the changes of music library. Wait for around 20 minutes to let the Center update the database completely. When the internal updating is complete, you will be allowed to turn the Center into ECO Standby mode.
