How do I get into safemode on my acer aspire desktop

1 Restart the Acer Aspire netbook by pressing the "power" button on the netbook's keyboard or by pressing the "CTRL," "ALT" and "DEL" keys at the same time. 2 During startup, hold down the "F8" function key immediately when you see the "Acer" splash screen and the option for entering "Setup." 3 Keep pressing the "F8" key until the "Advanced Boot Options" menu appears. If you receive a "keyboard error," restart the Acer Aspire and repeat step 2. 4 Use the arrow keys to navigate to the "Safe Mode" selection on the "Advanced Boot Options" menu. The arrow keys are located on the right-hand side of the Acer Aspire keyboard. 5 Press the "Enter" key to execute the "Safe Mode" selection. The Windows operating system will now start in "Safe Mode" and you can perform a system restore or make needed changes to get your Acer Aspire to boot normally again. Pc keyboard will not type letters when keys are struck, i typed this with the on screen key pad.

Hello,

Thank you for using fixya.

Check the connection of your keyboard is not properly connected to your computer. Be sure that it's connected and there are lights lit on your keyboard. IF none... Unplug and plug your keyboard back in and check if it works. If not, try a different port.

If still not working, your keyboard needs to be replaced.

If you have any questions, please leave me a message by replying to this post.

I hope this helps.

Why my pc always typing automaticly?

You could very well have a stuck key on your keyboard. I've seen this problem many times. Shutdown your computer, remove the keyboard and clean it very well. Check for any keys that appear to be stuck. If all looks OK, plug keyboard in and power up computer. If that doesn't work, you may have a bad keyboard.

Keyboard doesn't work properly

Turn on your computer, go to the control panel, if you are using Windows XP, click on switch to classic control panel" and then go to Accessibility Options. There is a keyboard tab that the settings can be changed to help people with disabilities operate their keyboards better but if you hold down certian keys for more than a few seconds, Windows XP will activate these settings. Sounds like your son accidently turned on "FilterKeys" There is a check box on the Keyboard tab of Accessibility Options that turns off FilterKeys. If "Use FilterKeys" is checked, uncheck that box and then click "OK" and see if that helps.

Good Luck!

Every time i boot up my acer aspire 5315 laptop I always get a black screen and the computer freezes?

Please try to reboot in Safe mode after Tapping F8 Key during start.

If the option for run in safe mode not appear you need to do it again.

After then, when you login at desktop, do the following:

  1. Click on Start
  2. Open the Run window,
  3. Type msconfig, then click 'OK'.
  4. Go to the Services tab, find the 'Background Intelligent Transfer' service.
  5. Disable it, apply the changes & reboot.
Also at startup tab in msconfig, and in the Startup Tab
Disable the items which you think not necessary to come during startup.
THis will help you lot to reduce the time being taken in Startup.

Hope it will work for you.
