Hi,
you may have something rapped around the impellers of the circulation pump causing low water pressure. the unit will start and stop to try to clear the blockage. if the circulation pump is really jammed the inlet/drain light will light. it could be a faulty pressure switch but they are not common to fail.
Hope this helps
We had this symptom too, with no inlet, outlet or pump blockages. Tipping the machine on its side released quite a lot of water that was lying in the tray that forms the bottom of the machine (some more comes from the built-in water softener reservoir too). This was enough to operate the float switch which senses the water level in this tray. When operated, this float causes the machine to stop and pump, regardless of main control switch position. We took off the tray, cleaned up and dried everything, replaced the tray then looked for the leak. Taking off the right-hand side panel* reveals the inlet mechanism, which includes a plastic assembly including a flow switch, a valve and a reservoir for the water softener. The valve (which looks like the main inlet -- in series of course with the one on the far end of the inlet hose) dripped when we started the machine, so we unclipped the solenoid, then unclipped the valve mechanism and replaced its o-ring. Drip cleared, and the machine restored to function!
*To remove a side panel, you have to take off the worktop. Open the front door, and there are 2 recessed screws inside top, near the front. Remove these, and you can then slide the worktop forward and take it off. You then see two screws for the side panel, another one on the back of the machine, and yet another just under the seal of the front door, about 3/4 of the way down.
