How configure duplexer dell 3110 cn?

You don't really need to configure it as such.

The printer should recognise the duplexer if it is fitted correctly, and it's difficult NOT TO.

Printing a settings page will show the duplexer under Printer Options.

You printer driver needs to be aware of the duplexer, there is an option to 'get information from printer' within the Windows driver.

Once the driver knows the duplexer is available, you'll have an option in the printer driver to print double sided.

Why i need keep to press ok when i want to print in duplex mode? how i can i change it to auto?

!st Press the MENU button.
Use the down arrow to navigate to "SHOW ME HOW"
Select PRINT ON BOTH SIDES.
It will print a page that shows how to use the duplexer.

If that doesn't work...Use the arrow again to display CONFIGURE DEVICE MENU.
Go to the PRINTING SUBMENU
Drill down to DUPLEX.
Make sure that "ON" is selected.

What is it wanting me to do when it says "install duplex unit"?

A duplex unit allows you to automatically print double sided jobs. It sounds like a duplex unit is an option on your printer. If it is asking you to install a duplex unit, it is either configured for duplex printing i.e in your printer setup, duplex printing is enabled or, your driver has two sided printing enabled as its default.
Hope this helps.

My HP 4700 printer suddenly can not print on both sides, yet it used to print on both sides. I can't see the option for duplex on its printing menu. Pls help

You can enable duplex printing from your computer, if it somehow got turned off. Open the printer program, and under Configuration Settings, click Duplex Mode, then click Enable Duplex Mode and then Apply.

At the printer, you can find the Duplex options by clicking Menu and scrolling down till you see Configure Device. Duplex is in that menu.

HP Laserjet 2015n printer

Sir, the Hp LaserJet 2015n printer CANNOT automatically do duplex printing since the printer does not include mechanism and paper storage areas to cycle the paper through the printer a second time and print on the reverse side. Manual duplex printing can be done as follows: Choose duplex printing and remove all sheets after the printing is complete. Turn the sheets over while preserving the orientation and insert them in the paper feed path. I have an HP 1020 laserjet printer which is similar to the 2015.

Duplex printer

Check the driver you have installed on your computer, that's where the duplexing would be generated from. You should be able to choose through print properties at this point. Here's the link to Sharp:

HP C4200 Printing both sides

Some printers automatically print on both sides of a page (automatic duplex printing); other printers allow you to manually reinsert pages to print the second side (manual duplex printing); and some printers do not support duplex printing at all. To find out whether your printer supports duplex printing, you can check the printer manual, contact the printer manufacturer, or check the printer's properties by clicking Properties in the Print dialog box.
To find out whether your printer supports duplex printingThe options in the Print dialog box can vary depending on your printer options and configuration.
You can use the following clues to determine whether a specific printer supports duplex printing:
  • Check your printer manual or consult your printer manufacturer.
  • Click the tabs in the Print dialog box and review the options. If options such as print on both sides of the paper, duplex printing, or two-sided printing appear on any of the tabs, the printer probably supports automatic duplex printing.
Notes
  • If you are printing to a combination copy machine and printer, and the copy machine supports two-sided copying, it probably supports automatic duplex printing.
  • If you have more than one printer installed, it's possible that one printer supports duplex printing and another printer does not.
To manually set up a printer to print to both sides of a sheet of paperWith some printers, you can use the Manual duplex check box under Printer in the Print dialog box. Word will print all of the pages that appear on one side of the paper and then prompt you to turn the stack over and feed the pages into the printer again.
You can also use the following procedure to set up your printer for manual duplex printing:
  1. On the File menu, click Print.
  2. In the lower-left corner of the Print dialog box, in the Print box, click Odd pages.
  3. Click OK.
  4. After the odd pages are printed, flip the stack of pages over, and then in the Print dialog box, click Even pages.
  5. Click OK.
Note Depending on the printer model, you might have to turn and reorder the pages to print the other side of the stack.
