No picture on all channels even with cable connection Sanyo AVM 2020P

I have attached cable connection to my Sanyo AVM 2020P and changed the settings to cable. Unlike my other tv sets, the Sanyo does not produce any visible channel. All channels are static. What seems to be the problem? I have tried auto programming but still the same. I'd appreciate any solution to this. Thanks

SOURCE: Sanyo avm 2506 tv no sound

As It only makes noise when there is no signal (without an antenna).clearly indicates that there is a problem in sound IF SECTION or loose contact in that section. your audio section section is ok as you get noise signal when there is no signal. also check remote control setting.

SOURCE: new dp 19648 sanyo hdtv no signal detected

You gotta have a way to get signal to the tv . If you don't want a outside antenna use rabbit ears .After you hook them up hide them behind the tv then do a channel scan. If you don't pick up all the stations set them on top and scan again or get satillite or cable hd boxes.

My Sanyo AVM-3651g 36" TV keeps showing the

Hello,
On the remote that came with your TV, press the Display button, which is directly below the Volume Up button. Pressing it once displays the channel number and time, pressing it twice displays the channel number continuously, you must have accidently pressed the Display button twice. Just press it once more to remove the display.

Loud buzzing sound on Sanyo AVM 1909

I had a problem like that so I disabled the tv's onboard tuner (input source)and now we use the cablebox's video and audio out to the video and video in jacks on the TV this will work as long as you have a cable box or sat reciever for your video and audio source and of course your TV must have video and audio inputs so it will work.

Good luck Rich

Converter box

You'll need to keep your TV on channel 3 or 4 depending on what channel you set the converter box. All your channel changing will be done through the converter using its remote control after that. If you change channels on the TV itself and go off channel 3 or 4, the TV will not get a signal and will show you that "no signal" message.

Sanyo Model AVM 3659G won't recognize DVD player

Hi,

Let's try the easy one first:
  • verify the connections, normally yellow for video, white & red for audio. TV has to be set to Video 1, A/V or Channel 0;
  • in some instances, it could be a single coaxial cable. If it were so, the TV has to be set to Ch 3.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Cable channels fuzz out

I think you have a bad connection in the tuner. The tuner is what decides what channel you get. It's a small box inside your tv about the size of a pack of cigarettes. These have been known to develop loose connections or just go bad. Some are pretty expensive depending on the type set you have. Since your set is older and you want it fixed you'd better get an estimae first. Stargazer

TV problem

Are you using cable to get the picture? If you are, make sure the TV set is in the cable mode,If it is then you most likely have a bad tuner in your set. Good Luck
