Could be anything, bad cord or plug, possible bad appliance bulb causing short (had that happen on another appliance) or the main problem, bad compressor.

My superba refrigerator recently keeps tripping off the power. I tried swithing to a different outlet but it didn't work (same problem). What is causing this?

well usually several plugs are on the same breaker and just because u use a different plug dont mean u r using another breaker try replacing the breaker and see if this cures the problem breakers sometimes get weak and trip when they need replacing but make sure u put in the same size if it still does it then u have something overamping because of being dirty or clogged up around the fridge or behind it or under it make sure its clean all around and try unplugging a couple of things on the outlets and see if it stops tripping

Washing machine trips electric when fills with water

From the symptons described, I would suspect that the heating element is faulty, disconnect the heater, and try it again, if it does not trip, then replace heater.

Fridge keeps tripping the circuit breaker

Unless there is a dedicated circuit of 20 amps to the refrigerator this will continue to happen When your refrigerator goes into defrost and other things like lights fans air conditioners are on the same circuit it will have no choice to not trip the breaker. Try this turn the breaker off and how may thing in your house stop working? You need a 20 AMP circuit or this will possibly damage the compressor or weaken the breaker because it has tripped so many time. Thanks, Please rate my solution, I have done this work for 30 years. When I plug in my refrigerator, it throws my circuit breaker?

You may have a seized compressor, evaporator or condenser fan - have you tried turning it off first, plugging it in and seeing if that will hold? If you open the doors with the fridge off, will the lights still work? Can you hear the compressor start up when you turn the fridge on, or does it trip right then?

Bulbs and bottom pcb blew, replaced but still not working

the start and run capacitors of the compressor can go short circuit and cause a big spike that can blow the bulbs, trip fuse etc. Inspect the capacitors for splits etc, you may well find that the start cap has blown and so there will not be enough current to get the compressor running.

Washing machine keeps tripping electric switch

Hiya,
there is a few things that will do this to your electics 1st & formost if your trip switch is tripping off remember this is a safty device to prevent fire so ignoring the problem & switching the power back on to try again could run the risk of fire!!

when the power trips you will need to know at what point in the wash this happens if its when the machine is emptying then it would be a pump issue if the machine is emptying no problem then the issue is more likely to be the motor either of which would need to be replaced if you are having these problems.

on rare ocasions you can spring a leak & if water gets on the electrics this will also trip the power but this is 1 of the least likely posabilatys.. rest assured if the power is tripping off then your home electrics are working fine & to confirm all sockets run from 1 main fuse all lights run from a second main fuse then there is a few other bits that run on there on fuses too i.e. cooker, power shower etc.. remember always get a qualified electrician to work on your electrics to ensure the job is carried out correctly

Hope this helps
