Question about Vacuums

1 Answer

Hover Elite Rewind I've only had this vacuum a few months and I really liked it until now. There is almost no suction from anywhere in the vacuum, and I've cleaned all the filters and rollers with my shop vac and made sure that everything was assembled correctly. It used to be really quiet now it is quite loud and it keeps over heating, and shutting off. At this point I have no idea what could cause this problem, the machine is nearly brand new and I can't afford a new one at this point.

You have to clean out the hose under the bottom of the vacuum cleaner. To do this you have to remove the bottom plate the covers the brush it has about 6 screws. Also remove the brush and belt in order to thourhly clean it. I had the same issue you had. Now it works like new after cleaning this out. The sucktion power is back and it doesn't shut off on me any more. Hope that helps.

Be sure the motor runs then unplug the unit and thoroughly check the suction side to be sure it is not plugged with some obstruction. Here are some links that may help:

The belt on my Hoover Elite Rewind UH71003 keeps coming off.

Those machines come half way across the world. The belt stretches while it waits. Buy a new belt for it and you'll be good as new.. actually better.
Here's a full length description of why.

Check your belt. It is broken or stretched out. Replace the belt first. Should be your answer

NO SUCTION COMING FROM BOTTOM OF VACUUM

even though the belt isnt broken you should replace it also make sure the height is raised up on the nozzle. try dropping a marble through the hose to double check there is nothing stuck ( the attachment hose and the small hose that runs to the floor )

Filter

i wouldnt, it usually soaks the dirt into the filter, try using a shop vac with a dust brush attachment that is the easist and cleanist way to do it.

Air flow indicator stays activated after filter has been cleaned. Brush spins, but very little suction. Dirt doesn't spin in cup.

Your vacuum is clogged. Check all of the air pathways, hoses, etc. The most common places to check are anywhere there's a joint in the airways, and also directly behind the brushroll.

Hoover eite rewind vacuum has blocked airflow, how do i fix?

Is there suction at the end of the hose, if not then the blockage is in the hose, unhook the hose and dig out the debris, if hose isn't blocked, then clean out the filters, if they get clogged, then air can;t flow thru them and you won't have suction. If you have suction at the end of the hose, then it is clogged down in the nozzle asm. there is an inlet by the brush roll and it comes up to where the hose plugs into. Clean the clog out.
