I am using a Windows XP OS and an Acer laptop. After reformatting the computer, I checked the sounds and devices and everything else is grayed out. I also checked the sound devices on my device driver and it is saying that all devices are working properly. I am using a PCMCIA card and I believe this is what's causing it. Do I need to download drivers and if I do, can you please send me a link as to where I can download the updated one? Thanks a lot!
Try to check the model numberfor your laptop, then go to goole search then go to Acer driver downlord using the model number it will give you the drivers u want for your computer.Let me know the results please.

Mr CPU.............
Download the drivers from the Acer WEB site. Make sure you
select the model of your laptop and the XP or Vista version of the drivers you
that require and it matches the Windows version that is installed on your
laptop. Use this link to get to the Acer support: -
