Question about HP PSC 1210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

HP PSC1210 won't print black

Copier prints decent color but on black setting paper goes through and comes out blank. Light is not blinking.
I drilled hole in top of cartridge and added some ink (less than a tablespoonful--all I had on hand). This, and cleaning the contacts made no difference.

Well, since that time I solved the problem. I came across an identical cartridge from a different printer, installed it and no more problem. I since did a little research and learned the cartridges are not just inkwells but they have electrical technology built into them, so it is not just a question if they have ink. They can also break down. I would try cleaning it and failing that, a new cartridge.

I do have the same problem, and mine started at the same time. Wonder what the problem is.

Maybe it was a system update or something?

HOW DO I REPLACE THE INK .I BOUGHT THE INK BUT FOR GOT HOW TO PUT IT IN

In order to replace the ink..please follow the following steps

#1
Spread out a piece of newspaper where you plan to work. Remove the supplies from the refill kit. The Lexmark 44 will have one bottle of black ink, one thumb drill and one syringe. The Lexmark 43 will have one bottle each cyan, magenta and yellow, three syringes and one thumb drill.
#2
Remove the label from the ink cartridge. The black refill hole is at the top of the ink cartridge. Use a toothpick to check the color of each fill hole on the color ink cartridge. Generally, the magenta is at the top of the cartridge, the yellow is at the left center and the cyan is at the right center.
#3
Use the thumb drill to open up the fill hole to fit the syringe needle. Place the tip of the thumb drill on the fill hole and twist until the hole opens up larger. Do this for each color hole on the color ink cartridge.
#4
Fill each syringe with 7 ml of color ink (one for each color) and 15 ml of black ink. Insert the syringe needle into the bottle of ink and pull the plunger upwards.
#5
Place the tip of the syringe needle into the fill hole. Slowly press down on the plunger. If the ink seeps out while filling, stop filling the cartridge and wipe up the ink with a paper towel. Some cartridges may not need the full amount of ink. Repeat this step for each of the colored ink fill holes.
#6
Replace the ink cartridge in the carriage of the printer. Run one to three test pages to cycle the ink and check the printing. Use any document with color on it for the Lexmark 43 and any document with black text for the Lexmark 44.

Thanks

Lexmark Z715 will not print but computer says it is printing

The Z715 needs a #50 black ink cartridge and a working color cartridge to print. To check if there ios ink coming out of your black or color cartridge touch the bottom of it to a paper towel and if you see a solid black blob or 3 blobs of Yellow, blue and red for the color then your problem is else where. If U are printing stuff from the internet sometimes the printer will try to use the color cartridge to print this so even though the black is working it comes out blank if the color is dry

How to take empty cartridges out

1. Cover the outlet hole with the orange outlet seal that came with the cartridge (a rubber band will hold this in place) to prevent ink loss during refilling or with your finger over the outlet port while wearing latex gloves .

2. Use the "L tool" provided to push the Sealing Ball into the cartridge (tap on the 'L tool' if the ball is stuck). If you can't see the ball just above the "push" then peel back the top label on the reservoir side of the cartridge to expose the Sealing Ball. This is the ball Canon used to plug up the hole after they refilled the cartridge.

3. Attach the needle to the syringe and fill with the correct color ink.

4. Slowly inject approximately 13 ml. of Black Ink or 6 ml of Color Ink slowly into the filling hole until the chamber is almost full. Unused ink may be returned to the bottle.

5. Seal the hole using the Green Plug. Put your finger on the green plug and twist until it is seated well in the hole.

6. Remove the orange outlet seal (or your finger) from the outlet hole.

7. Replace the cartridge and run 1 - 3 cleaning cycles as per printer instructions.

8. If you have trouble getting your cartridge to print and the sponge side of the cartridge looks dry then drill a hole (or burn a hole with a hot paper clip) into the top of the sponge side of the cartridge. Stick the syringe needle into the sponge and fill with ink. You do not need to seal this hole.

If you are filling cartridges to use later, leave the orange outlet seal rubber banded onto the cartridge. This will prevent your sponge from drying out.
Note: On the CLI-8 and PGI-5 series cartridges, there is an electronic counter embedded in a small computer chip/board. This counter starts at a high number and decreases for every character printed. Eventually, the counter reaches zero. At this point, an error message is generated by the printer. If you click "OK" to the error message, the printer will continue to print.
If you have trouble getting your printer to print because it thinks the cartridges are empty. Look on your printer for an orange blinking light. This is your reset button, usually the paper feed button also. Hold this button in for 5 seconds until the light goes out. Note: this will not reset the ink level back to full.

HP Laserjet 1500 Color, Print out Blank

Hi devi960:
Pages print, but all
colors do not print or
the pages are
completely blank.
One of the print cartridges might be
low or empty.
Run an engine test and see if all four colors print. If
not all colors print, replace one or more of the print cartridges. If the
engine test is successful, replace the formatter.
If the printed pages are completely
blank, the file might have blank
pages.
Check the file to make sure that it does not contain blank pages.
A print cartridge might be low or
empty.
Check the printer control panel for a Supplies Status message,
print a Supplies Status page, or use the embedded Web server
(HP color LaserJet 2500 series printers only) to see the levels
remaining in the print cartridges. Replace any print cartridges that
are low or empty. Messages are not created for non-HP print
cartridges.
If you are using non-HP print
cartridges, one or more print
cartridges are low or empty. The
control panel lights do not indicate
low or empty for non-HP print
cartridges.
Replace one or more of the print cartridges.
Font DIMM might be selected but the
font DIMM is not physically installed in
the printer. (This issue applies only to
HP color LaserJet 2500 series
printers using an Asian-language font
DIMM.)
In the settings for this printer, clear the Font DIMM check box on
the Configure tab if no font DIMM is installed in the printer. Select
the Font DIMM check box only if the font DIMM is physically
installed in the printer. If you think that the font DIMM is installed,
make sure that it is installed correctly.

Turn the stack over in the tray.

DELL AIO 922- All in one- Printer won't print

Remove the right ink cartridge (color). You will get an error saying the cartridge is empty, but ignore that. Hit cancel on your printer. Print your job...when your print screen comes up, under preferences check the box for print colors in black and white. Your printer should print just fine without the color cartridge. Ignore the flashing red light.
