Congratulate me. I finally fixed it myself. I went to the website of A4 Tech and searched for solutions there. I downloaded the installation because it seems the accompanying cd had some error. and just tried like a million times more because even after installation, the computer could not detect the camera so i transferred to another port and voila there it was.

First uninstall your software and take a reboot. Now once again install it but cam should not attach. If during installation require cam, you must attach otherwise after complete installation attach the cam and Disk should remain in the CD-Rom. After complete installation you take a reboot and now your cam will work properly.

Press Esc to cancel loading SPTD.sys

You should be able to boot XP from an install CD and perform a repair install (not a complete install) which will not affect your existing files.

You'll need to enter your BIOS and ensure that your PC is set to boot from CD, then restart your PC with the disc in the disc drive. After a period of loading, it will give the option to repair install on the installation screen. Choose that option, then follow the onscreen prompts and allow the install to finish before rebooting (rebooting may be automatic, depending on your version). After repair install, ensure that all updates are current.

Computer wont install windows strange problems ensue.

are you pressing any key to boot from the cd when you get that message??

after windows finishes copying all the installation files during the first stage (dos mode) of the os installation you get a reboot, after the reboot, you should get that message that says press any key to boot from the cd, DON'T PRESS ANY KEY (or you will start again), leave it cd in.. just don't press any key... hopefully the installation process will continue on it's own onto the next stage (graphical mode).

if the computer just goes back to the dos mode without you pressing anything the problem may actually be a real problem and it may require further troubleshooting..

see how that goes with the first suggestion and post back if needed.

good luck

The install shield doesn't finish working

Try copying the files on the disc to a folder and run them from there. Open the folder you saved the files in then double click the setup.exe icon and see if it completes the installation. If that does not work then try downloading the files from the radio shack web site.

Think i might have deleted some thing on my hpw1907 computer cause now it keeps telling me it cant find the environment option entered

[NOTE: You may need your (or any compatible, as in exact same version) Windows installation CD for the following to benefit you.]

Boot into Windows. CLICK Start>Run and type into the resulting dialog box, "sfc /scannow" (without the quotation marks).

NOTE: there is a space between "fc" and "scannow".

The System File Checker will scan your system files for any corrupt or missing system files and replace them with known good examples. It may ask you to insert your Windows installation CD into the optical drive.

When it finishes, reboot.

Your installation package file is corrupted. ".cab" mean cabinet file that has many files in compressed form within it. Try different source to install.

Solution disk software loading

Well the best thing to do is to delete all the software. Then Put the disk back in the box Windows will do all you need without it. Extra software for tasks like photo-stitch[Panorama] are all freely available on the web
