What kind of connection are you using? If you are using a component connection or a RGB connection this could be causing your problem check the leads and if so replace new leads.

I have a Panasonic home theater sound system model# sa-ht730 and there is not a place for any power to go

That's because it is not a stand alone system. In fact the power goes into the subwoofer box and then a cable feeds from that to the unit into the smaller of the sockets on the lower left of the picture.

Panasonic SC-HT730 home theatre has no centre or surround audio. Front right and left work, nothing else. What could it be?

First thing is to check the wiring. a simple flipping of the positive and negative at the back of the theater box can fix this. I know they have the color coded wires and suppose to be plug and play but I see these reversed all the time right from the factory. If that does not work repost and I will follow up.

I can't get surround sound when I want to watch a dvd. I need to know how to set it up properly. This is for a Panasonic Home Theater Audio System MODEL NO. SC-HT65

the wires are color coded, follow the color coding on the wires, and connect the wires to the proper color coded connectors on the back of the main unit or go to panasonic.com to get the manual online for that model

SA-HT730 need help with the above problem it just shows INIT and nothing else happens

Are you trying to reset the password for Ratings or re-initialize the unit to all factory defaults?

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Panasonic-SC-HT730-Home-Theater-Systems-manual/id/356ci961/t/2/

Page 27 shows one instance of INIT.

Re-initialize Setting

This returns all values in the Setup menus to the default settings.

≥Yes: The password screen is shown if "Ratings" (??? page 26) is set. Please enter the same password. After "INIT" on the display disappears, turn the unit off and on again.
≥No

Page 36 shows how to reset everything.

You have forgotten your ratings password. Reset all the settings to Factory Preset.

While stopped and "DVD/CD" is the source, press and hold ['Square Icon' button for STOP] on the main unit and [S10] on the remote control until "Initialized" disappears from the television. Turn the unit off and on again. All settings will return to the default values.

Panasonic SC-HT730 Green picture when showing DVD's

The DVD player of this system will output to a TV on either composite (Yellow jack), component (RGB jacks) and S-Video (a small round jack that looks like a mouse or keyboard connector) jack. Since the tint is off, I would guess that you're using the more desirable component or even the S-video jack. Try removing & re-seating the plugs into the jacks at the DVD and at the TV; then check the picture color. If it still is wrong, try using a different cable type - use a standard video cable between the yellow jacks on both the TV and DVD. You may need to set the TV input to reflect the use of the new jack - and possibly set the DVD to 480i or Interlaced if you used the Progressive Scan or 480P output when using component RGB video cables (Red, Green & Blue). Check for correct color.

Chances are the connection got dirty and caused the color issue - or less likely, the cable or even less likely - the DVD output has failed.

Good luck!

How do i connect a panasonic theater system to asylvania tv

For best results either use an s-video connector and RCA Red/White for the audio. If no s-video available, use comp which means composite (Red,Blue, Green) so the truest color can go from one unit to the other. On the back of the theatre system, plug everything into "output", on the panasonic, input.

Connecting tv to surround sound

Look at the back side of the TV .
There will be [more than one] composite video in & out
How composite video port looks like typical 3 RCA jacks - std color of ports are Red, White & Yellow. The yellow one is the one - which carries video signal. You can connect - a RCA cable from output of SC-HT730 [yellow] to back of TV.

Most probably there will be at least one Component video behond your TV set [ if the set is HD Ready one] - in other words, If your TV supports component in.
Component Video ports are namsed as Y Pb Pr - if you have so, connect output from SC-HT370 to back of TV.

Recommendation: choose component video - if that is supported in both. That gives much better picture quality.
