What kind of connection are you using? If you are using a component connection or a RGB connection this could be causing your problem check the leads and if so replace new leads.

No color when playing DVD's on Sony DAV-HDX500.

What's different? The video connection type, maybe? If you're using Component cables (Red, Green, Blue) you might want to check their integrity.

Pink and green colours seem to be too vibrant when watching dvd's on lifestyle 48

I have a Lifestyle 48 which suddenly started producing a pink and green image when playing DVDs (regular TV was fine.) After speaking with Bose support, I did the following which resolved the problem:

1. Removed power from the video switcher. (or from the bose itself if you don't use the switcher.)

2. Reattach all the video cables on the back of the bose and ensure all connections to the TV and switcher (if applicable) are tight.

After performing these steps, my DVD image went back to normal. I suspect it was a loose cable in the end, but no harm in performing the power disconnect.

Green tint?

you have a bad video cable and its only allowing green and not red and blue, if changing the cable does not do the trick the you video controler in the dvd player or stereo has go bad, might try pluging dvd player into tv directly. that will help you determine if its the player or stereo. good luck

When I play a dvd it is in black and white how do I get it to be in color

It is very likely that your connectors and cables are causing this problem. I am guessing you have component cables and one of them is either not connected, or that the connectors are not in the proper location (green to green, red to red, blue to blue) or that the cables are of different length. Similar problems occur with S-Video with bent pins and in some cases HDMI has some issues with dirt or that the connector isn't firmly seated.

I'm not getting any color pictures in my home theater system

Well, assuming were talking about a dvd player with dvd's,you dont specify what type of cables you are using to conect it to your tv, it appears that it has something to do with Progressive Scan been turned on. Progressive Scan is a feature built in your dvd player, wich by using it, it would give you a better picture//resolution on your tv, you need to use Component or HDMI cables to hook up the dvd to your tv if you want this settings, but if you are using composite RCA cables (Red,White & Yellow) and the Progressive funtion is turned on by accident, it may give you a split screen, black & white, or no picture problems. Also if you are using Component (Blue, Green & Red) cables, if one of them is unplug, the picture can be out of colors, or no picture. Check this things, if not, write back with more details about your set up.

Thanks...

My TEAC PL-D2100 home theatre system, is not showing all natural colors in display since yesterday.

the red rca jack of the component output on your dvd player or the red input on the Avr component input is not plugged in properly ( loose ) or the the component monitor out to the tv may be loose. there is also possablity of cable cut. check it with another component cable or interchange the red to green to find if the problem perssts ,... to ascertian weather it is the cable.. this info should solve your prob.

On screen color

1.Check your component video connection, and see if you are any cable that is not connected properly(most commonly swamp between Pb-blue, Y-green.)
2. If the connection is correct FOR SURE,check your system menu under video connection or output and see if you have switch it to component video output.
