Hello, I have the same problem as you. The answer is faulty Motherboard. If you have recently bought this, return it, else you must find a replacement board.

When you long-press the power button on Android, this usually causes a forced shutdown.

A hard reset is when you reset your tablet to a state where there is nothing on the tablet except for the default apps and the operating system.

When pluged into outlet fans spins and doesnt stop, wont boot

Fan spinning hard is usually a CPU issue.
If you've made any hardware changes to your computer, undo them. This happened to me when I was trying to upgrade my Processor (CPU) and I had the wrong kind.

Have an old inspirion e1705 put vista on it cd drive didnt work so put a an one in then starting having problem with vista and now it wont boot from the cd to rebot the computer

You may have to go into the bios and re set the boot order to CD first.
When you first turn on a computer you need to go to setup- usually by hitting delete or f10. Look for anything that says boot drive priority and move cd-rom to the top of the list. Save and exit and this may solve your problem.
Also, if this new drive has malfunctioned in any way the computer will stop trying to boot from it.

Frozen on rebot screen

First reset it to turn it off then do this: First, back up all of your music and do this: Turn off the player and disconnect it from the computer. Then press and hold the play/puse button and turn it on simultaneously. The player should be in recovery mode. Scroll down and select format (all) and let it format. Then reload all of music back onto your player and it should work like new. Hope this helps!

EVO ! wont boot

If the RAM is fine, but it's turning itself off after 10 seconds or so, then it's highly likely the motherboard needs replaced. What I would suggest, if you are comfortable doing it however, is to check the fan isn't simply clogged up (this will determine whether it is a problem with the motherboard itself, or simply a problem with the fan overheating, and the motherboard turning off as a fail-safe). Bear in mind, this will require stripping the laptop down, and should only be done if you can put it back together properly.
