SOURCE: bottom plate replacment

Hi,
theres lots of posts here regarding george foreman products.
there does,nt seem to be anywhere to buy replacement parts.
I,d suggest buying a new alternative product, with a more stable background, and reliable service and replacement parts. i.e russel hobbs or tefal et,c.

These units get killed when cleaning. Next one get the removable grills. This is an excellent design grill, except the ones with non removable grills- due to short life.

Are porcelin flavor plates removable? If so, how?

If you're referring to Powder-Coated Porcelain Cast Iron Adjustable Grates. Yes, they are removable. They just lift off the grill. As do the tent shaped Flame Tamer/Flavorizer plates under the grill grates and above each burner. They should be removed regularly for cleaning.

Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!

I want to take my ecoquest fresh air apart to clean it, but do not know how, i have misplaced the manual

Unplug the machine and unscrew the phillips head screw on the back grill of the machine, that is just above the plug. There are depressions on the sides of the back grill that has a plastic tang that hold the back grill to the machine. Press the back grill inwards to allow the tangs to clear the sidee and the back grill should now be easily removed. Remove the two thumb screws on the top corners to remove the filter. Once the filter is removed, then you can remove the purification plate and remove the two screws that hold the RCI cell. The RCI cell and filter can be cleaned by vacumming out the dust and dirt.

The purification plate can be cleaned with a old toothbrush and a water and amonia solution. Scrub the metal grid with the toothbrush. Do both sides and then rinse with water, allow it to dry completely before reinstalling the plate. After every part is cleaned reassemble the purifier, and plug it in. Then press the reset reminder button on the front of the keypad to clear the "perform cleaning" message. This message will appear again after the purifier runs for 30 days to remind you to clean the purifier. Hope this helps you.

My weber grill is not putting out enough heat--both burners ignite, but I can't turn them up to get a higher flame/higher temparature. The grill is about 5 years old. How can I clean the burners to get a...

Hello,

follow the below procedures on how to clean the burners for your grill:

Shut off the gas. It is very important that you turn off the gas valve to your BBQ before you can begin to clean it. This is found on the hose that attaches to your propane tank, simply turn the valve all the way to the right.
Escape any remaining gas. Next turn all the burner knobs to the highest setting and allow the remaining gas, if any, to escape. Make sure you have the grill hood in the open position before doing this.
Let the Grill vent for five minute: In order to ensure that the remaining propane has ventilated properly, leave your grill open and do not begin to clean it for at least five minutes.
Brush grill bars. Using your grill cleaning brush, firmly brush the surface of the grill bars in a forwards-backwards motion with the steel from the brush sweeping across the surface. Once you have brushed the surface flip each grill bar over and brush the other side.
Saturate with grill cleaner spray and repeat. Using your grill cleaner spray thoroughly saturate the surface of the grill bars and brush both sides. Set the grill bars aside after you finish so you can access the interior of the BBQ to clean it.
Remove burner plates and clean. All gas grills have metal plates which cover and protect the flame pilots during cooking. These will typically become covered with ash, and burnt grease and sauce over time. Simply remove them from the grill and brush them down. After you have brushed them once, saturate them with the cleaner spray and brush them down again. Set the plates aside so you can finish cleaning the rest of your grill.
Clean interior of grill. The plates will only catch so much, still sauce and grease will fall to the bottom of the grill and turn to ash. Using your grill brush, jar all of this ash free. Douse it in cleaner spray so it condenses and scoop it up with the paper towels.
Clean grease catch. Many newer gas grills will come with a grease catching plate. You can usually access these through the rear of the BBQ. They generally have a small metal handle and will easily slide out. Remove this grease catch, and brush and clean it thoroughly.
Clean exterior of grill. Using your grill cleaner spray, saturate the exterior of the grill and wipe it down with the paper towels. Repeat this process until the exterior is entirely clean.
Reassemble the grill. Now you can put all the pieces back together in your grill and turn the gas valve on again.
I hope the above helps to solve your problem.

Good luck.

How do I get my panini maker clean again

From the Owners Manual:

Before cleaning, switch the grill off at the on/off button, switch off at the power outlet and unplug. Allow your Professional Grill to cool before cleaning. The appliance is easier to clean when slightly warm. Always clean your Professional Grill after each use to prevent a build up of baked-on foods. Wipe cooking plates with a soft cloth to remove food residue. For baked on food residue squeeze some warm water mixed with detergent over the food residue then clean with a non abrasive plastic scouring pad.

Having trouble cleaning the plates after we grill without wrecking the plates...any suggestions? Have tried hot, soapy water, goo gone bbq cleaner, mild scrubbers, and also spraying with PAM before we...

when it's hot lay wet paper towels on them.. no soap remove towels when they stop sizzle. Now just make them wet and sprinkle coarse salt on the grills and scrub with a short brissle wok brush.. the kind with the stiff bambo brissels... remember no soap to clean and no pam when you cook just oil and keep very very clean and it will never get dirty. you may have to keep grill on low untill ready to clean or reheat before cleaning.

Need to restore the non-stick surface on a GE griddle

Put a sheet of wax paper between the two plates for a few minutes while it heats up, then remove. It will transfer the wax to the grill so you'll temporarily restore the non-stick coating.

Vacuum condenser light of sub zero 650 is on - how to clean it

We recommend vacuuming your condenser every 3 - 6 months. Cleaning the condenser is important for the overall operations of the unit including cooling functions. A dirty condenser may lead to warm temperatures in the refrigerator and freezer. It may also cause the unit to run excessively. It may contribute to condensation or frost inside of the compartments. If the condenser is not cleaned properly it may even cause premature failure of mechanical components in the unit. Condenser Cleaning - All Models Before cleaning the unit, shut the electricity off at the control panel. When you clean the condenser, wear gloves to avoid injury from the sharp condenser fins. Use a soft bristle brush and vacuum to remove dust and lint from the condenser. To avoid bending the condenser fins, be sure to vacuum in the direction of the fins, up and down. Clean the condenser every three to six months or sooner if you have pets. 600 Series Framed and Stainless Steel louvered grilles: First remove the grille screws located at the bottom of the grille. Tilt the top of the grille forward and release the springs from behind the grille, then lift off. Overlay Panel Grille: To remove, lift up then pull out at the bottom and down to release from its mounting bracket. Remove the two black screws in the lowest louver of the grille. Tilt the bottom of the grille out and away. It will release from the top of the grille. Model 601RG Stainless Steel Grille: Remove in a similar fashion as the overlay grille panel. 700 Series All Units: At the bottom of the unit, remove the four screws holding the kick plate/grille in place. It will then slide forward, giving you access to the condenser area. 400 Series 424/424FS At the bottom of the unit, remove the screws holding the kick plate. The condenser is located behind. 427/427R: Remove the four screws holding the kick plate/grille in place. It will then slide forward, giving you access to the condenser area. 430: First remove the screws located at the bottom of the grille. NOTE: These screws (Phillips head) are accessed with the door open. Tilt the top of the grille forward and release the springs from behind the grille, then lift off. 200 Series 245, 249, 315W Remove the kick plate at the bottom of the unit, giving you access to the condenser area.

Non-stick surface damage

Contact these guys and they should be able to supply replacement grill plates cheaply; http://www.esalton.com/control/contactus In general the current view is that low quality aluminium alloys, when used for cooking can put enough aluminium into the food over a long period of time to POSSIBLY influence certain conditions such as alzheimers disease, amongst others. There is a certain amount of aluminium in many things we eat or drink, regardless of what it is cooked in. If you use the grill every day then i would recommend replacing the plates, especially if the aluminium itself is becoming pitted, however I have used similar, lower quality grills before with coating worn and haven't gone mad yet. If in any doubt then replace the plates, but i think you are being over cautious here. If you find that food is now sticking to the grill, try grilling half a handful of salt with a little vegetable oil for 10 minutes or so, spread over the whole plate - a certain amount of "non-stick" can be achieved like this, although if cleaning the plates with detergent, this will soon need doing again. Hope this helps :)
