I have dropped my lg Dare and now the touchscreen only works part of the time. Everything else is working normally. Can the screen be fixed?

If you bring the phone in and it isn't covered under warrantee you will have to buy a new one of pay a pretty inflated price to get it fixed. If you want to save some money you could fix it yourself. You can buy touch screens for this phone off ebay for about $9 to $58. IT will come with the tools you need and if you need instructions on how to safely take apart your phone, youtube is your friend!

if the touchscreen doesnt work then its probably not anything you can do on that phone until its fixed

probably the flexcable to the touch screen came loose when you dropped it,it isnt hard to repair ,just be careful not to ruin the screws that hold it together

Your phone can be fix up again, were the problem his was from your phone month pic this means that the month pic is bad. What you need to do is to take your phone to a good phone work shop around you to fix up the month pic so that your phone can be well operated.

you may have possibly damaged the screen from applying too much pressure, maybe not intentionally but from placing in pocket, sitting on it etc.... you can call verizon if you have the insurance and have the device replaced or check to see if it is under manufacture warranty. that specific problem exist in all touchscreen devices eventually.

Hopefully replacing the screen will fix your problem.

possible cause, you may be accidentaly drop it, or seat on it...

first if it has it manual keypad, then use it and try to set on factory setting default.

Default security code..12345 or 1234

see if it works but beware , all your personal profile might erase, but before doing it try to remove the sim card and memory card.

if it still not work then bring it to cellphone technician, there is a possibility that the flex (tape wire type) or the black crystal(small IC part)migh be damaged

sometimes you just need to take the battery out and put it back in. If you've already done that then you may need to take it to Verizon and get it updated.

Just put it in a bag of rice for couple of weeks. The rice pulls all the water or wetness out of the phone. How do I know, Well I found a brand New Lg Dare phone in a puddle, put it in rice for 2 1/2 months. I took it out of the bag, put it together, turn it on. To my amazement it worked. Ran to store, bought a charger, and it has worked every day since.

take the battery out for a minute, then replace. ushould be okay! good luck champ!
