Kenmore he3 Thanks for the suggestion, but I tried getting a manual at Sears.com - no luck. They did have a "ask a question" page and I did fill out the info and asked them how to do a pre-soak with more than 1/3 cup of allowed bleach for whites, but they haven't gotten back to me.

I tried what reddevil6 suggested and was not able to get Sears to produce a manual. I would prefer an online manual but at this point I'm desperate enough to try anything.

Sears are about as much help as leprosy - please complain to their customer "service" people in the hope that they might improve.
