Cooling light on?

Dryer stops early and clothes are never dry. Also cooling light is constantly lit???

I have the LG TD-C70042E and now have the same issue, the dryer doesn't heat up and the cooling light is constantly on, regardless of drying setting. At first the tumbler would not turn and the repair person came out to fix it and replaced a small cylinder part that plugs in just above the motor, I can't remember what he called the part.

I noticed that he pushed a combination of the Power button and a few of the Additional function buttons, i.e. the High and Low Temp buttons, but didn't specifically see what he pushed. This allowed the tumbler to spin, but didn't add heat. I don't think he reversed what he did.

Luckily he is coming back next week to fix the noisy drain motor, but I thought I would check this forum for some interim help.

    Thanks in advance.

The cooling light is always on, it flashes when it is in that part of the cycle, sounds like he put it in to a test mode. Was it a thermistor that he changed?
No heat, sounds to me like a thermostat might be blown. Call the guy back, if you haven't already.

You may have a problem with the motor not working.  Have a qualified LG technician check this out.

Why do the Automatic cycles on my Whirlpool Duet Electric Dryer not always work?

In some dryer's the control panel relies on a thermistor rather than a CYCLING thermostat to regulate the drum's air temperature by monitoring the component's resistance changes; resistance goes down as temperature increases and up when temperature decreases. Once the drum's air temperature reaches a certain level required to dry clothes, the control panel shuts off the heater. The panel will turn the heater on again and begin another heating cycle when the thermistor indicates that more heat is needed to keep the air temperature constant inside the drum

Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet.
Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity.
A failed moisture sensor will affect the dryer run time in the automatic moisture sensing cycle but it will not affect the heating of the dryer or the timed cycle. Which are reflected by the thermostats.

Ge gas dryer heats but doesnt dry

if the flame is lighting you have lint blocking the air flow either in the dryer or in the vent line, also if you have a flame for the first 10 to 20 minutes and then the flame doesn't light you have bad gas coils located on top of the gas valve, when the coils are bad they can work for the first 10 to 20 minutes until the coils get hot and then they fail and you'll see the ignitor glowing orange but no flame, bad gas coils.then when the coils cool down they can work again.hope this helps.you can try removing the vent line from the back of the dryer and see if the flame stays on,if lint is blocking the air from blowing out the flame won't stay lit long enough to dry the clothes.

My dryer stops drying after 10 min. All the lights flash on the right hand side. I've tried different drying settings and different amounts of clothing. Nothing works. What's wrong?

My dryer does the same thing. Additionally, it is not heating what so ever. Clothes are cool and damp, and heating vents at back of dryer are cold to the touch.

Heats and runs, but not long enough to dry clothes; then would not turn on and run at all. maybe dryer ''thinks'' clothes are dry?

Hi, After the dryer shuts off, can you restart it right away or does it need to cool down before restarting? If it needs to cool down for a bit, the motor is going bad. If the dryer is running a full cycle but not completely dry, check your venting to the outside and make sure it is clean.
If this is a gas dryer, the coils on top the gas valve might be shutting down early and not reopening later in the heat cycle.
I hope this gives you some direction. Please let me knwo if I can assist you further on this problem

The dryer won't run. Dry, extra dry, and coold down process lights are lit.

Hi, the lights are signaling a control fault the is concerning the logic sector of the control board/timer. you will need to make sure that the wiring harness is connected to all points and it should be in good condition. if there are no apparent issue with the wiring harness, replace the control.
