Question about Computers & Internet

I have a hp pcs 1210 all-in-one printer. It has two cartridges but I only put in one black one. Now it keeps saying to 'check cartridges'. Do I have to have both in for it to work?

Sounds like you did not "seat" the cartridge in correctly. Take the black cartridge out, make sure all the sealant tape is off of it, and snap it in again. This should fix your problem.

Please try to follow the instructions outlined in this article to resolve this error. Also possibly helpful will be this article.
Unfortunately, before you can do so, you will have to resolve the print cartridge error. This will most likely require some routine cleaning. Follow the instructions to do so outlined here and here.
To access further resources for your printer, see the home support page at HP here.
Also check to make sure you have the latest drivers and software installed for your particular OS, as old drivers could cause communication errors in your network.

HP printer PSC 1210 black cartridge error. The black cartridge does not work and the blinking light is always on when I plug in the cartridge.

Black cartridge error usually means that the contacts on the cartridge have blown or that they might be dirty. That's why the printer says it has a problem. Remove the cartridge, wipe the contacts with a dry cloth and put it back in. If it still gives you the same message, you will need to buy a new cartridge.
