If you did not install a driver you would need to. You can find the most up to date driver at http://en-us-support.belkin.com/ . Let me know if you need more help.

I have two Gigaware IDE enclosures with USB

My guess is not enough power is available to run both devices at once.
Do your hubs have a external power supply?
Do the IDE Enclosures have a port for their own connection to a power supply?

The available power on a the pc's usb port is about 500ma (from memory)

Have a look at how much power your IDE disks actually need. It should be written on the label.
If the total is more than 500 ma then you will need to provide more power either via your usb hub or to the enclosure directly.

Hope this helps.

I just installed usb 2 pci card in an old win98 pc after installing drivers from the cd.Device manager says it's working but when I plug anything into the usp port a window pops up telling me I need to...

That is a common thing with the early win 98 os and newer hardware.

You really should consider an upgrade to at least 98SE or even WINDOWS ME.

The machine will struggle with USB 2.0 and you are open to a whole lot of little glitches

I purchased a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Hub recommended by the salesman at the office supply store. It does not work with my new Dell computer which uses Windows Vista operating system. Please...

Normally USB Hubs all new are 2.0 and they use a simple USB connection that should work with all computers, you can try a different USB port in your computer and if that still doesnt work then most likely that product is not a name brand and it does not have the built in driver for the mass device driver which is what usb ports use to function and multiplicate and you should return it and get a better / different one. Hope my answer gets you closer to a solution. Please Help rate me if I helped you out or not I am new but a very good tech.

Trying to hook up belkin wireless router to cable modem and don't know how the hook-up should be

Hello,

If you have your pc connected directly to your broadband modem through the ETH/LAN port on your pc then disconnect it from that port on your PC.

Then connect the same cable to your Belkin Routers Internet/WAN port. Then take the extra cable that came with the Belkin router and connect it to 1 of the 4 lan ports on the Belkin router. Then connect the other end to your PC in the LAN port.

After that, restart your PC and everything should be fine.

Thanks

I cant my belkin stick to install

WTF N00B nonesuch PC as Belkin exist!
Belkin makes some USB Memory Sticks, generally called Flash Drives.
You generally do not need drivers other than those of the kernel for whatever OS you use (and you should certainly try Knoppix and Mint Linux,) though you do need to use a working USB port.

Are there any error messages, perhaps in /var/log/messages or message boxes you see? Perhaps you need to provide some relevant context about the OS environment in which you want the Flash Drive (and you could cite your exact model) to appear.

Then again, the worse the quality of your complaint, the more harmful the solution can be; and that could make life interesting.

Is your belkin detected by your computer? If not then, try to connect in the other port in your system. if it was detected and hard to install the driver then maybe the driver is not compatible. try download the most latest driver here:
this is the lower version link:
