Sorry tv not repairable, the picture screen panel is broken or damages. The tv picture screen panel are 90% important to the tv and it is limited in production by the tv corporations,no where u can buy tv picture screen panel except the tvs corporations themselves.By replacing the tv picture panel, will cost the same as a new tv,by replacing the picture screen panel alone, because of it limited production and important to the tv itself.Sorry this not worth as a whole tv anymore, now tv only as salvages tv for it electronic boards for parts only now.
Good Day; More than likely your TV has "COOLANT" (ethylene glycol) on the circuit boards. This fluid comes from the CRT's (picture tube) this fluid is used to keep the CRT's cool, such the name. This fluid from the CRT's leak when TV is on for long periods of time, the chamber expands and the seals leak. One can remove this fluid by using "acetone" & small brush. The fluid is hard to see, use bright light, they spots can be smaller then a DIME. Also, the fluid can corrode the parts and traces on the boards. To protect the TV in future place heavy plastic or thick cardboard over affective area, make sure TV has proper air flow around TV. If after the fluid has been removed and TV still does not work, call an Authorized Service Center to come out and repair TV after giving you an Written Estimate. The boards are not available. Always try resetting the TV by unplugging it for one minute then plug back into A/C outlet and ALWAYS UNPLUG TV BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY REPAIR ON THE TV. Or you may have a picture tube going bad. Good Luck, big IRISH.
I was tring to remove the concave off my screen and came across a setting where you can make the picture larger or smaller. On the TV, not the remote, press and hold the menu button, press and release the power button, press and release the volume up button and release the menu button. P0 and V0 will be displayed on the screen press the volume up button until the V0 is V76. Press the channel up button until P0 is P11 and press the volume up/down button to make the picture larger/smaller. If you need to center the picture press the channel down button until P11 is P10 and press the volume up/down button to center your picture. I hope this helps

Problem solved. I had the exact same problem with my Magnavox TV. The screen would shrink then expand. After thrity minutes it would correct itself. Then one day it just broke - no sound and no video. I searched these forums but did not find clear instructions on how to fix it. I gave up and called in a repair tech. He fixed my TV in less than 30 minutes. To help others like me I documented the fix and created a step by quide and repair kit to fix the problem. You can find it here. http://www.magnavoxhelp.com
