I own a kenwood VR-405 But from moving around so much, I lost the subwoofer connections to the unit.Anyway I could get the part number for that.

Looking at the manual the only connectors are RCA cables, you can purchase RCA cables from any radio shack or stereo shop, or any car audio shop.

Sound from my plasma TV does not work on AVR 235 via optical cable

So much can go wrong. WARNING!! NEVER LOOK STRAIGHT INTO THE LIGHT FROM AN OPTICAL AUDIO OR VIDEO SYSTEM. The optical output could be not working (try switching it on and look if you see a red light) The optical cable can be broken inside) see if the brightness of the red light is almost the same as what is coming out of the TV. Point it to a white paper to view.
The optical input from your receiver can be defect or dirty. The optical protocol can be wrong or the systems are not compatible.
If it ever worked, the most chance is the cable is defect.
Otherwise follow the chain and read what the manuals have to say about how and what.

hi,
Yes you will be able to connect the same. Connect the line output of the KENWOOD CD 323M to the CD input of the KENWOOD VR507 receiver using a stereo RCA cable. The picture of the cable is added.

How do I hook up my HD TV to the kenwood kr-v7080 so I can hear stereo TV ?

Maybe hook up the actual source of the TV audio (not necessarily the TV) directly to the Kenwood. Cable and SAT boxes have nice standard digital audio outputs. They're wasted on TV's which typically have sucko speakers. Lower-end analog audio is also available if you want to watch Cable/SAT throught the TV speakers.

Lost 3.2.1 surround function when I hooked up new plasma

HDMI cables contain both your audio & video in one cable. Remove your optical cable from the box and disable in in the cable box menu and that should fix your problem.
