Hello. I have a Sony Handycam Vision CCD-TRV108 NTSC camcorder and a Compaq Presario computer. I want to transfer my home video's that I made on my Sony Handycam to my personal computer. I've looked all over the internet just about, and cannot for the life of me, find any info about how to do that. I want to know what kind of cable or any other accessories I need in order to do what I want. Is there a specific kind of cable I need that would work with both my camcorder and computer? Please help me! Thank you so much in advance!

Compaq Presario is a product line that has very many configurations. If you have a video capture card you should have all you need. You can identify if you have a capture card by looking at the connectors on the case. Video capture cards have a wide verity of options but it will have the same kind of connections that TV’s and VCR’s use. If you don’t see this type of connectors you don’t already have a capture card.
You options then would be to get a capture card installed or get a USB external capture device. If you plan to be doing a lot of video transfer I would suggest you would get better quality and performance out of the internal card installed in your computer. Most computer shop and many consumer electronics stores should be able to assist you.
