How to boot from usb on a powerspec

PowerSpec computers, as do all personal computers, have a motherboard inside that provides power and support to every piece of hardware that makes up the entire machine.

When your computer is first turned on, a small chip on the motherboard that houses a small piece of software called the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) fires up before anything else and directs the startup processes for the rest of the computer.

By entering the BIOS settings, you can alter these startup procedures and control the power flow to certain components or stop them from starting up entirely.

The BIOS settings are only recommended for advanced users, as an improper change can stop your computer from starting up. Shut Down

Shut down your computer completely.
Do not make it hibernate or reset.

You need a fresh startup to enter the BIOS settings.
Waiting Period

Wait about 10 or 15 seconds after shutdown to allow the computer to become completely dormant.

Rebooting

Turn the computer back on and immediately begin pressing the "Delete" button on your keyboard at regular intervals (every two seconds).

Eventually the BIOS settings appear.

The display will look monochromatic and antiquated when compared to a modern Windows display.

This is typical of the BIOS setup screen.
Using the BIOS Menu

Using the keyboard arrow keys to move around the BIOS menu advanced bios features press enter change your first boot device to USB press "Enter" to select options once they are highlighted.
Press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart
and

Don't make random changes to the BIOS, as an improper setup can render your computer effectively useless.

I can't log in to my account on my Dell PC?

Now which operating system are you running ?

Forgetting your Windows XP login details might at first seem like a disaster. Don't panic though; your login password and username are easily recovered by changing the login details to that of the administrator.

Begin with your computer turned off, and then turn it on. You will need to log in to your computer manually and this can only be done in the load-up screens. Wait until your computer reaches the Windows login screen. The screen usually displays a "Welcome" message. Press and hold the "Ctrl", "Alt" and "Delete" keys two times at the Windows login screen. Your computer will automatically reveal a Classic Login box. Type "Administrator" (without quote marks) into the "Username" field and leave the "Password" field blank. Windows automatically creates an Administrator account when your computer is first booted up; in this account you can alter or change any user's login details. Navigate through the "Start" menu and click on the "Control Panel." In the Control Panel explorer, double-click on the "User Accounts" icon to open a new window. Select "Change an Account" in the User Accounts window and select the username you want to alter. From here you can edit the user's name and password, but you can also alter the user's picture, account type and .NET password. Restart your computer to login with your new username and password.

EL1210...when starting up u see first messages but when finished u don't see main user windows to select user on screen and enter your window...its blank/dark..could it be the video card?

It could be... But check to see if updating the video card's drivers fixes it...

Restart your computer and keep hitting F8 once every second until the boot screen comes up. Then select - boot in safe mode with internet.

Your computer came with a NVIDIA GeForce 8200 video card so go here for the latest drivers and download them:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Go into device manager and remove the old drivers for your graphics card.

Then install the new drivers.

You know Sir instead of hassling with this just go and get another monitor you can find CRT's all over at garage sales. It would be your best bet and avoid the confusion just get another monitor. That one is more than likely no good anymore. John
