My phone randomly stopped sorting my texts properly

my phone is sending multiple texts to my recipitants even tho ive actually sent 1 text to them they are receiving the same text up to 11+ times how can i sort this out please ive rebooted phone and doesnt help very annoying by Video Recording Mobiles Tablets

I haven't seen much directly relating to jpg formats becoming winmail.dat files, but it seems with the new iphone ios7 operating system, many other types of RTF and PDF sorts are coming in as winmail.dat files and who's to blame at the moment might be unknown. Some blame Microsoft while others are isolating it down to the new ios7.

I'll keep looking but this is what i found so far...

Winmail dat attachments

try going to menu, settings, date & time, and make sure the information is correct where it says "set date" and "set time." if either is wrong, enter the correct information. that should fix it.
what happened is your phone thought you were sending a message earlier or later in time than you actually were, while whoever you're texting was sending messages on time. soooo all of your messages end up clustering at the top or bottom depending on if your phone's date & time is set early or late.

go to message settings->text mesage->message sent via->see if it is text or not if not make it and try...

There is a company providing service some place ... Nothing is free from the government, BTW

The only way you might get away from this is comlain to the service provider and get a new number. Then ... get her on the national do not call list immediately.

a firmware issue.. use SE pc software. take a back up ( full phone or required data) and get the software reinstalled.. for software search n free download n instructions www.sonyericsson.com

I'm sorry but there are no settings for receiving text's. If you are having issues there are one or two things that come to mind.

Your phone gets a poor signal where you live, and it takes longer than usual to receive texts if at all.

Or there is a problem between your phone and the network signals/towers. The best thing you can try is to call your service provider as they will be the only ones able to make any changes if necessary.

On every phone there are settings that can stop you sending texts. However all phones should still receive texts even if all the settings were changed. As the text message is directed to you mobile number you should still be receiving?
When you compose your text and select contact does the phone move them to the out/sent box?
Settings to check for sending are your 'message centre number' (your network provider can supply and they are normally different for pay monthly and pay & go) 'Message sent as' should be 'text' (not fax or email etc).
Text problems are common where people change or delete digits from the message centre number by mistake.
If you cannot receive texts i would recommend speaking to your provider for help as it may be your account details at their end? (beyond your control). Hope that helps?
