Flash Charging Could you tell me how long it usually takes for the flash to charge?

The flash on these are normaly used in the auto mode. If there is very little power demand it may charge enough for the next picture in about 2 to 5 seconds. If the flash is used at full power, it can take a good 10 to 12 seconds.

When the camera battery starts to run down a little the flash charge cycle time will increase.

It wont take a picture with the flash, i have to turn off the flash or it says charging flash?

This message truely indicates that the flash is charging however you couldn't get it to flash because the bulb needs to be replaced.

POSSIBLE CAUSE:The camera is recharging the flash.

download the driver if needed (the firmware installation will tell you if you need it) and then download the firmware. immediately after i downloaded the firmware, the "charging flash" went away! hope it works for you too~

No flash

it seems that the flash is not charging. the only way to fix is to show it to some repairer.
