Flash Charging Could you tell me how long it usually takes for the flash to charge?

try leaving the camera on to drain the battery down, then try charging it again.. or could be a bad battery

At back camera, have lamp flashes orange where to indicate flash is charging and to tell image will not recorded(disable). You will can not take another flash until that lamp is stop flashing orange to indicate charging is full. in other view, please check at lcd screen have appear flash icon.
click button play mode to display menu. change set flash to on if flash icon is not display

This message truely indicates that the flash is charging however you couldn't get it to flash because the bulb needs to be replaced.

The flash gun needs to have a high charge available before it can flash - this can take a few seconds to charge fully ready to give off a full flash "flash" As batteries get older and uncharged - it takes longer to reach the correct charge on the flash

Camera takes pictures with flash off. With flash on message comes up and says flash charging and camera freezes unable to turn off I have to take the battery out

i get the same problem!
i take a picture and the flash is too bright, the picture turns out white.. then it takes a while to take another one because it says charging flash..

charging flash:-
POSSIBLE CAUSE:The camera is recharging the flash.
SOLUTION:It takes longer to charge the flash when the battery is low. If this message appears a lot, replace or recharge the battery.

same problem, exact same camera... I had fixed it already with a guy who fixes all kinds of cameras and he had to change a piece that wasn´t working, but after a few months the problem started again...

download the driver if needed (the firmware installation will tell you if you need it) and then download the firmware. immediately after i downloaded the firmware, the "charging flash" went away! hope it works for you too~

it seems that the flash is not charging. the only way to fix is to show it to some repairer.
