Question about Dyson DC17 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
Belt looks fine and turns manually. Suction appears to be less than before. Sucked up a piece of carpet thread which wound around bar. removed thread and now this problem.
Oh for crying out loud! That button has been there since day one but I NEVER looked at it! I guess I thought is there to be symetrical! I also sucked up carpet thread. I was okay for a while but when I then sucked up my dustcloth the brush quit. Usually this stuff happens right before the guests are due so at least this time I got to fix it without pressure!

This happened to me once before I was aware that there is a button to turn off the brush motion. It is the grey button beside the power button that has a picture of a brush.
