    Hello Petertimms7

    Do you mean the product key code that came w/ the CD?

    The product key code is the license key that allows you to install the software. Unfortunately, if you don't have that, you'll need to purchase the product again. If you purchased the map from TomTom and you have proof of purchase, they **may** issue you another license. Honestly, I doubt it though. Sometimes you can get companies to replace a damaged or lost CD but that's not normally the case w/ a license.

    The product key code is usually found on the CD jewel case or included in documentation that came w/ your purchase.

    Do you have the original CD jewel case, etc that the CD came in?

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

My 910 won't pick up a GPS signal - any suggestions please?

Backup the Tomtom to your computer. !!!!!!!!
Format the Tomtom hard disk
Logon to Tomtom home and carry out an update
When it has completely finished updating copy the map directory back onto the root of your Tomtom hard disk.

This action forces the Tomtom home site to completely update the program on your Tomtom to the latest applicable application.
This may involve updating the the bootloader as well as the Navcore software.
The maps will go straight back on ok as they should already have been initialised for that device.

Most new Navcores now incorporate the Quickfix which enables the sattelite signal to lock on quicker.
Regular visits to the Tomtom home website will update the quickfix data which really needs to be done weekly as the data expires.

Pressing the reset button also renders the old Quickfix data useless.

If the above does not work then I suggest that you have a hardware problem which would require a professional repair.

tomtom is coming out with software soon to be able to use your g1 as a gps device. theres apps on the market that let you view traffic updates just look up gps on the apps market and find one there. i believe google maps does traffic updates. you should get the docking station for your car it replaces expensive gps devices.

Tomtom Support Sucks!

TomTom's have definitely improved over the years. I'd say a lot has to do with the better mapping available. Tele Atlas is making great strides and TomTom supplements their data with Map Share and user corrections. I've seen a huge improvement from my ONE to my Go 930. I'd say take advantage of their offer and get something new with the new maps. Electronics only have so long of a shelf life, might as well capitalize while you can since a 5 year old product is well out of warranty

GPS Use

Hye! here's how you can take care of this issue: Dowload google maps from the web (for windows mobile) & install it on your diamond. In order to use GPS on this phone, your internet/gprs connection must be functional; without netwrok connectivity you cant use GPS on this device as it does not have the map interface on its chip (& cant be loaded later too). It just has a light GPS transceiver which in presence of a mapping software (such as google maps) can show your position on the globe & in some countires can also navigate you. After installing google maps, make sure your internet connectivity is on and then work with google maps 'USE GPS' & 'My location' or 'Navigate' functions ... enjoy!

Took my tom tom apart to fix it now its asking me for product code to activate my maps but i dont have it as i brought it second hand

Your TomTom product code can be found on one of these places:
  • In HOME do one of the following:
    • HOME 1.x: Click Explore from the Options menu, then double-click on the downloadable map
    • HOME 2.x: Click Show contents of my device, then expand Maps and then click More info.
  • on the 'productcode card' in your TomTom box;
  • in your CD jewel case, behind your CD;
  • in your CD box, behind CD 2;
if you dont have anything there it may be possible to contact TomTom directly with the issue of

also found this but dont think it means much other then the below link,

http://www.tomtom.com/support/solution.php?GID=1&PID=232&SID=0&CID=95&Language=1&FID=5644

I would suggest contacting TomTom or creating an acct with them to see if more options are available to you to resolve this issue.

Acer 35 product code

maybe tomtom asks for the 'device id' instead?

To find the device id go to 'Start/Settings' select the 'System' page, then select the 'About' icon. Select the 'Device ID' and you see it in the 'Device name' field.
