My maytag Epic Z washer won't spin. Flashed F-01 once but now acts like it is going through cycles but won't spin. The tub feels loose I think? I fist noticed this when it sounded like a weedeater was running. It was like the tub was stuck and the spin gears were grinding? Please help...
F1 is a bad control board,you can try unplugging the dryer for like 5 minutes and then plug it back in,sometimes that will reset the board but most likely you'll have to replace the board.

jesus crist remember all the work that machine did for your family and forbiden it, it sound to me to be the transmision, but wait for catriver, gona tell you somes tips, put your hammer in the closset by now..good luck

I just encountered the same problem. I think the operation of the machine is such that the motor turns one direction for the spin cycle, and the other direction for the agitate cycle. I am replacing my motor, as I think i have a bad winding on the reverse. I will let you know.

This washer is JUNK!!!!!! We have the same washer (2 1/2 years old) and same problem. Tried to replace the bearing myself, no luck. So I called a repair man to come out and look at it. As soon as i told him the model number, they would'nt even come out. Very common problem for this washer. We are on our way to Sears to purchase a Kenmore.....GOOD LUCK

Sounds like the motor is going bad. It will only get louder before it finally stops. There is a device that assists the agitation motion that may be bad or is going bad.

the cluncking sound is not a brake system since there are no brakes, but the stabilizer of the drum. as when it stops turning the whole weight of the drum 'hangs' on the stabilizers. That might also be the problem with not spinning fast enough, although I think that its not spinning fast enough because there's too much water inside. I would check the drain hose and drain filter, either one of these two are clogged up, and therefor not letting the water out.
